The new doctor.

Making Promises.

"Kaylen, we have to get you to surgery or we risk permanent paralysis." you say while unlocking the gurney. "Wait what?" Kaylen says. "It's a little scary but we are going to try everything we can." you say. "C-can you call my mom?" Kaylen says. "You can call your mom when you get out of surgery." you say. You, Stephanie, and Kaylen get into the elevator. You and Stephanie tie you guys hair back into a ponytail. You put your scrub cap on in the elevator.

"What happened?" Derek says as the elevator opens. "Lost feeling in arms and legs." you say. "Lets get her to OR 3!" Derek says. You see Arizona down the hall. "I'll be there in a second Derek." you say. You jog down the hall to Arizona. "Hi baby!" you say. "Hey y/n!" Arizona says. "I'm about to go into surgery. I have something to give you after!" you say. You give Arizona a kiss and then jog to the ER. You scrub in. "I got this surgery today y/n. Just be ready though." Derek says. You put your gloves on and stand next to Derek holding the suction.

After about 2 hours you and Derek finally remove the tumor. "Okay! We are done everyone! Johnson, could you close up for me?" Derek says. "Of course Dr. Shepherd." you say. You hand Stephanie the suction. You start closing up the patient. "Get her to pre op while I call her mom!" you say. You pull your phone out of your pocket and start walking. Someone then answers the phone. You sit on the gurney in the hallway. "Ms. Richardson?" you say. "This is she." the lady says. "Hello! I'm Dr. Y/n Johnson. I'm calling about Kaylen Richardson!" you say. "Is she okay?" Ms. Richardson says. "Yes ma'am. She was in a little accident and we just got her out of surgery but she should be alright." you say. "Thank you." Ms. Richardson says. "Anytime!" you say.

You hang up the phone and walk to the residents lounge. Everyone is passed out either on the couch or on the benches. You go to your cubby and grab the pins out of your bag. You then walk to the peds unit to find Arizona. "Dr. Robbins here?" you ask. "In the back." The nurse says. You then walk to the back to find Arizona doing paper work. "Hi love!" Arizona says with a smile on her face. "I'm sorry I've been so absent or not talking. I've just been studying for the boards." you say. "I understand baby." Arizona says. "I got something for us!" you say.

"What's up?" Arizona says. "A promise pin!" you say. "We wear eachothers initials everywhere we go!" you say. "I keep the "A" since it's stands for your name! And you keep (your initial to your name!) since it stands for y/n!" you say with a smile. "This is so clever!" Arizona says. You attach the pin to Arizona's shirt. You then attach the other pin to yourself. Arizona stands up. You both wrap your arms around eachother and hug. You then look Arizona in her eyes. Her blue eyes sparkle. You kiss Arizona passionately on the lips. Her lips are so soft pressing against yours.

"I have to go sleep." you say. "I'll be in the residents lounge with everyone." you say while walking away. You go back to the residents lounge. You grab a pillow and go lay in the little chair. You take off your white coat and use it as a cover. You put your legs over the side of it and they dangle while you fall asleep.

A week later.

You, Jackson, Alex, and Cristina were running the ER. You all walk to the residents lounge together. Cristina plops on the big couch. Jackson and Alex lay on the benches and you lay in the tiny chair. You all fall asleep. You sleep for about a hour until your phone starts going off. You look at your phone to see 3 emails from different hospitals. You flip your feet over and sit the proper way while opening your phone. You open your phone and go through the emails. You read the first email. "OH MY GOD!" you say while screaming. Everyone wakes up startled. "Shut the hell up!" Cristina says. "What's wrong y/n?" Jackson says while groaning. "I DID IT!" you say.

"What's up?" Alex says while crawling over towards you. "I GOT A INTERVIEW AT MASS GEN!" you say. "I haven't got any feedback yet." Jackson says. "Every hospital wants me." Cristina says while bragging. "Robbins is getting me lame interviews." Alex says. You go to the next email. You scream again. "I GOT ANOTHER INTERVIEW AT MOUNT SINAI!" you say. You then go to last email. "Eh, got another at EMORY UNIVERSITY!" you say while jumping up. Alex jumps up with you and hugs you. "We are proud of you y/n!" Jackson says. "Thank you Jack Jack!" you say. "Stop- wait never mind. If you get to call me that, I get to call you red red." Jackson says.

"What the hell is a red red?" you say. "Dont worry about it red red." Jackson says. "Oh go to hell. Your just mad I got interviews!" you say. "I got to tell my dad!" you say while jumping up. You put on your white coat as you run out the room. You walk for a while until you find a empty storage closet. You pull out your phone. Your so nervous that your shaking trying to dial your dads number. "Dad!" you say. "Yes baby girl?" your dad says. "I got interviews!" you say. "Congratulations! What hospitals?" your dad asks. "Mount Sinai, Mass Gen, and Emory!" you say. "Those are pretty far.." your dad says. "I know, but I have to pass my boards first to even see if they want me!" you say. "If they don't want you, they're crazy. Keep up the good work babygirl." your dad says.

You talk to your dad for about 30 more minutes. You finally hang up. You go into the hallway to see everyone sitting at the little station. You jump up and sit on the desk. "I was 19." Cristina says. "What are y'all talking about?" you say. "When we lost our virginity." Meredith says. "When did you loose yours y/n?" Cristina asks. "Eh, junior year. I was 17 i think." you say. "Damnnnn." Cristina says. You all then look at April whos not talking. "What about you April?" Cristina says. "It was a very special time for m-me." April says. "It was on the beach." April says.

"On the beach?" Cristina says. "Yep!" April says. A second a awkward silence. "HA!" Alex says. "April's a virgin!" he says. April starts turning red in the face. "YOU TOTALLY ARE!" Crisitna says. "Leave April alone." Meredith says. You see Arizona walking down the hall. "I'ma tell Arizona the news!" you say. You jump down off the counter and walk to Arizona. You grab her arm and go into the empty storage closet. "What's up?" Arizona says. "I have some news." you say.

"Is it bad news?" Arizona says. "I got interviews." you say. "Already?" Arizona says. "I got interviews from Mass Gen, Mount Sinai, and Emory University." you say. "Those are half way across the United States y/n." Arizona says. "I know. I know." you say. "They are next week." you say. "So your just leaving?" Arizona says. "Of course not. I have to pass my boards and see if they still will recruit me." you say. "We have to make this decision together y/n." Arizona says. "And we will. I was just telling you how I have interviews tomorrow." you say.

"I can't believe you." Arizona says. "What the hell is wrong with you?" you say. "YOUR THINKING ABOUT MOVING ACROSS THE COUNTRY! I HAVE EVERY SINGLE RIGHT TO HATE AN ATTITUDE." Arizona says. "Wow." you say. "I didn't know I had to ask your permission to do MY shit." you say. You storm out and slam the door behind you.

You go to the residents lounge and grab your bag. Your irritated and pissed off. You drive to Arizona's house since thats where all of your clothes are. You open the door and walk upstairs. You then get in the shower since you smell so stinky. You get out and brush your hair. You put on your sports bra and some old shorts. You lay on the bed and roll on your stomach. You go through Instagram. You then grab your laptop and video call Alex. He answers and sets his camera up. "Arizona isn't proud of me." you say.

"She just doesn't want you to leave y/n. I don't want you to leave either." Alex says. "But Alex! We worked so hard for this!" you say. "You know where we came from." you say. "I got to go y/n. Do what you want but don't let it change your friends or family." Alex says. Alex hangs up and you close your laptop. You hear the door open. Then the bedroom door opens. Arizona walks in and gives you a side glare. You get up and follow Arizona into the bathroom. "What is your problem Arizona! You should be happy for me!" you tell Arizona. "I am y/n! I am!" Arizona says.

"Well can you at least act like it!" you say. "YOUR THINKING ABOUT MOVING ACROSS THE UNITED STATES! HOW CAN I LIKE THAT NOW?" Arizona says. You grab Arizona's arm and pull her closer to you. You start kissing her passionately but aggressively. You help Arizona take off her shirt. You both go into the bedroom part but not on the bed. On the floor. Both of y'all are fully naked and doing it.

After you guys finish you get up and grab your shorts. Arizona is asleep.
