The new doctor.

Aftermatch.

You wake up to the baby crying. Derek and Meredith are sleeping. You get up and pick the baby up and go sit back in the chair. "Shhh." you say. You recline the chair back and rock the baby. After about 15 minutes the baby and you fall back asleep. A hour later everyone wakes up. "Board meeting in a hour." Derek says. Derek comes over and takes the baby. "Did I fall asleep in here?" you say. "Yeah, but it's fine." Derek says. "I'm going to get coffee." you say while rubbing your eyes. You get up and walk to the cafeteria.

You get yourself coffee. You then go to the clinic. You sit the coffee on the counter and grab bandages. You rewrap your arm. You then go up to Meredith's room. Big Bailey was playing with baby Bailey. "Board meeting." Owen says. Everyone gets there except for Richard. "Where's Richard?" Derek asks. "I paged him but we have to get started." Owen says. "Whats up?" Meredith says. "Bailey.. this is for board members." Owen says. "I'm not leaving." Bailey says.

"Okay.." Owen says. "We can't open the ER today." Owen says. "We have no type of supplies." Owen says. "I can get on the phone with some people to see if we can get some supplies." Meredith says. "Im just letting you guys know we can't open the Er." Owen says. Owen then leaves. "Ima go see if I can help." you say. You go down to the ER. You hear ambulances outside. "I thought we weren't getting patients?" you say. "Tell that to the ambulance coming in." April says. You tie your hair up and put on gloves.

You go outside with April. Owen is already there. "What do you we got?" Owen says. "Oliver Doug, 72, obvious head trauma." Matthew says. "Let's page Neuro!" Owen says. "Neuro is already here!" you say. "A Neuro attending." Owen says. "Look, Shepherd is enjoying his baby and Nelson is in surgery. I'm all you got." you say. "Lets get him to trauma room 3!" Owen says. You meet them in trauma room 3.

"Let's get a portable CT in here!" you yell. You use your light to check Oliver's eyes. "Fully reactive!" you yell. You put the monitors on Oliver. "Bp is a little low!" you say. "Where's the portable CT" you say. "Here!" A nurse says. You set the CT over Oliver's head. You put the vest on as everyone steps out. You take the CT. You take the vest off and wait for the scans to pop up on the computer. "Scans are up." you say.

"It missed the whole brain. Wow." you say. "There's no way in hell it missed." you say. "What's wrong Dr. Johnson?" Brooks says. "All I have to do is pull it out." you say. Bailey then bursts in. "Have you seen Webber?" Bailey says. "Nope." you say. "Let me know if you see him." Bailey says. "Okay." you say. "Okay Brooks. Get me some gauze." you say. Brooks goes out. You get the anesthetic medicine. You push it through the tube so Oliver is asleep. A few minutes go by and Brooks isn't back.

"Where the hell is Brooks?" you mumble to yourself. Shane then comes in. "Brooks told me to fill in for her." Shane says. "Okay Ross, hold Mr. Doug's head as steady as you can." you say. Shane props himself to hold his head. You carefully pull the pole out. You get the whole pole out and it's a little bleeding. You grab the gauze and stuff it through the hole.

"Okay Ross, go tell Brooks to find anymore information of Mr. Doug." you say. "But Brooks is busy." Shane says. "Now Ross." you say. Shane leaves to go find Brooks. You sit on the little chair and stitch up Oliver's head. You then unlock the gurney and move them to a patient to a regular room. You fill out the chart and then go to the ER. "Y/n, have you seen Webber yet?" Bailey asks. "No." you say. You sit on one of the rollie chairs and keep spinning around. Bailey then leaves.

10 minutes later the elevator dings. You all look over there. It's Webber on a gurney with half of his clothes burned. "What the hell." you say. "HE GOT ELECTROCUTED!" Bailey says. People run over to Richard and Bailey. The elevator then dings again. It's Brooks. "Heather Brooks!" Someone says. Brooks starts seizing. You run over and try getting her on her side. "Ross help me." you say struggling. "ROSS!" you yell.

Derek runs over and helps you get Brooks on her side. "Let's move!" Derek says. Your holding her on her side while rolling her to the OR. You and Derek get scrubbed in fast. "What happened y/n?" Derek says. "I don't know." you say. Derek opens Brooks head up. You help Derek remove a piece of her skull. "I asked her to get me gauze and haven't seen her since." you say while suctioning.

"Damn it." Derek says. "What's wrong?" you say. "She's gone." Derek says. "Way too much swelling in the brain." Derek says. "I need you to call her parents." Derek says. "Derek... there has to be something you can do." you say. Derek shakes his head no. You take off your gloves and gown and throw them in the medical waste bin. You go into the lobby where Brooks intern class was. (Edwards, Wilson, Ross, Murphy) "I'm sorry." you say. "Heather's brain experienced too much trauma and swelled up pretty badly." you say. "She did not make it." you say.

"I have to go contact her mom." you say. You turn around and walk away. You go to the nurses station and look up Heather's parent. You get her moms number and dial it in your phone. You start walking to Meredith's room slowly while calling heathers mom. "Ms. Brooks?" you say. "I'm so sorry. Heather has passed away due to electrocution and swellling to her brain." you say. You are still walking and talking. "Like I said I am so sorry ma'am." you say. "I'm Dr. Y/n Johnson, once you get here have them page me okay?" you say.

You get to Meredith's room and hang up the phone. "Quiero romper algo." (I want to fucking break something.) you say. "I have no idea what you said but hold bailey." Meredith says. Meredith hands you the baby and you sit in the chair next to her. "Eres un pequeño bebé lindo." (You are a little cute baby.) you say. "What happened y/n?" Meredith asks. "A bus exploded last night. Jackson and I were heroes of course." you say. "Brooks died, and Richard is in surgery." you say. "What do you mean Richard is in surgery?" Meredith says.

"Him and Brooks got electrocuted Mer." you say. "Richard should be fine though." you say. "Oh." Meredith says. "Boards are in a month." you say. "I know." Meredith says. "Have you checked on your mom?" Meredith asks. "That piece of shit. Uh uh." you say. "Y/n. She's your mom." Meredith says. "I honestly don't care. She doesn't need me and I don't need her." you say. "I'm going to Alex's. I'll see you later." you say.

You get up and go to the residents lounge. You change into your old clothes and drive to Alex's house. You get there and get in the shower. You then change into something comfortable and fall asleep.

(There's gonna be a time jump to when we take the boards test.)
