The new doctor.

Drama.

A week goes by after all the shit that happen in Olympia. You wake up at about 8 and get dressed for work. You go downstairs to see Journey rushing and putting her things on. "Your gonna miss the bus Journey." you say. "I know! I fed Riyah." Journey says throwing her jacket on. "Bye y/n! Bye Riyah!" Journey says as she runs out the door. She then runs to the bus stop and gets on her bus and heads to school. You make your fruit smoothie. You run back upstairs and grab your bag and keys. You then walk back downstairs and pick up Mariyah and your cup and go outside to your car.

You put Mariyah in her carseat and drive to the hospital. Meredith happens to be walking Zola and bailey in the same time you pull up. "Wait Mer!" you say as you get out the car. You unhook Mariyah out of her carseat and catch up to Meredith. "Hey Zo!" you say carrying Mariyah. "Hi auntie y/n!" Zola says. "Okay, so you are going to tell me about what happened in Olympia, and then I have something to tell you." Meredith says as we walk. "You go first." you say. "You know Pierce right?" Meredith says. "Duh. Why?" you say as you both get to the daycare. "She's my "sister"." Meredith says. "What?" you say. You and Meredith drop all the kids off and walk to the attendings lounge.

"I don't believe her though." Meredith says. "What year was she born?" you say to Meredith as you both get into the attendings lounge. "I think '83." Meredith says. You hang your bag up and put your white coat on. "Okay, what was your mom doing summer of '82?" you say taking your cup with you. "I think that's before we went to Boston." Meredith says. "So you have a little sister?" you say. "She's not my sister y/n." Meredith says. "I have a surgery." you say looking at your watch. You see Alex sitting at the desk by the OR board. You drink about half of your smoothie as you get there. You hand Alex your cup. "Put it back in my lobby for me!" you say. You put your scrub cap on and go into the OR.

As your scrubbing in Amelia comes in. "What are you doing here Amelia?" you say. "No residents avaliable. Here to help." Amelia says. "It's a simple brain tumor though." you say. "I'll just help you if you need help." Amelia says. You walk into the OR and put your gown and gloves on. "Scalpel." you say holding your hand out. Bohkee hands you the scalpel and you open up the patients head. You get to the brain where you can clearly see the tumor. "I can't remove this." you say. "Why not?" Amelia says. "It's pressing against the occipital nerve. Much more than what she scans showed." you say. Amelia steps closer to you. "Y/n, that's a easy removal." Amelia says. "I can't do it Amelia, I'm not risking my patient going blind." you say.

"Y/n just do it." Amelia says. You take a deep breath. You take the scalpel and cut around the tumor. After a hour you fully remove the tumor. You and Amelia then finish wrapping up the surgery. "This was a bad idea." you say putting your gloves in the bin. You help roll the patients to the room. You go to the desk in front of his room and fill out the chart. You then take your hair out the ponytail and walk to the cafeteria. As your walking you accidentally bump into Maggie who seems lost. "You still lost?" you say. "It's my 3rd week here. I should be able to find the cafeteria." Maggie says while walking.

"I'm heading there now if you want to come." you say. "Thank you." Maggie says. You and Maggie talk as you walk to the cafeteria. You and Maggie walk through the cafeteria doors. "Aunt y/n!" Zola says running towards you. "Hi Zozo!" you say hugging her as she hugs your leg. "Whos that?" Zola says. "This is Maggie." you say. "Hi Maggie!" Zola says. "Hi! I'm just gonna go over there." Maggie says going the other way. "Can I do your hair!" Zola asks as you sit at the table with Derek and Meredith. "Sure." you say. You sit down at the table. "So you know about Maggie?" Derek says. "Meredith told me earlier." you say holding your hair back as Zola pulls your hair back.

"Zozo! Don't pull her hair so tight!" Meredith says. Zola tries to grab all of your hair at once but she struggles. She takes the bow and very loosely ties it on. You then sit up to see your ponytail half way falling down. "I did it!" Zola says. "Woohoo!" Derek says. Your pager then goes off. "My patients awake!" you say getting up. You leave the cafeteria and fix your ponytail as you get to your patients room. You go into the room to see your patient groaning. "Miss Walker! How are you?" you say. "Mhhmhmhh." Miss Walker says. You take out your light and shine it in her eyes. "Miss Walker can you grab my hands?" you say holding your hands out in front of you.

"I-I can't see anything." Miss Walker says lowly. "Please grab my hands Miss Walker." you say. Miss Walker grabs the air. Misses your hand completely. "Mrs. Walker can you see me?" you say grabbing your light out of pocket. You shine it in her eyes again. "Everything is just black." Miss Walker says. "What is going on?" She also says. You knew exactly what was going on. You were quietly panicking. "Um. One second." you say walking out of the room. You start spam paging Amelia. "Maldita sea." (Damn it.) you say. A few minutes later amelia comes through the doors. "What's up y/n?" Amelia says. "Mi paciente podría ser Amelia. (My patient may be blind Amelia.) you yell.

"English y/n." Amelia says. "MY PATIENT MAY BE BLIND! YOU PRESSURED ME TO REMOVE THE TUMOR AMELIA!" you yell. "I-" Amelia starts saying. "Do not fucking say anything. I should've never trust you!" you say to Amelia. "Now I have to go let a healthy 29 year old know they can't see anymore." you say. Your so irritated and pissed off. You go into the patients room as Amelia just stands in the hallway.

You give Miss Walker the bad news about her sight. "So I'm blind now?" Miss Walker says. "I believe so but I think I can reverse it." you say. "29 years of my life. I could see. I lived life to the fullest. And now. I just can't see." Miss Walker says. "Miss Walker-" you start saying. "Hailey. Call me Hailey." Miss Walker says. "I'm so sorry Hailey. But I will work so hard to reverse this." you say. "Don't waste your time." Hailey says. You end up walking out the room and to the attendings lounge. You burst in. "Hey red red." Jackson says. You completely ignore him and grab your cup and notebook. "What's wrong with you?" Jackson says.

"I made a patient go blind Jackson. She's 29 and is now currently blind." you say. You sit at the chair and grab your hair with your hands. "Damn it." you say. Your phone then starts ringing. You toss your phone to Jackson. "Answer it for me." you say tapping your foot on the ground. "Y/n's phone." Jackson says. "This is CJ, destiny's husband." CJ says over the phone. "What's up?" Jackson says. "W-we got into an accident.. Destiny... she's unconscious and we are at the hospital in Olympia. God I'm sorry." CJ says breaking down over the phone. "I have to pee." you say while getting up. You go into the attendings bathroom.

"Is y/n there?" CJ says. "Wait. What do you mean? Y/n is in the bathroom." Jackson says. "They are airlifting us to Seattle Pres. Oh god. She was in labor..." CJ says crying. "Tell them to fly you to Grey Sloan and page Dr. Jackson Avery and Alex Karev." Jackson says keeping calm. "O-ok.." CJ says. You finish out the bathroom. "Who was it?" you say. "Just a scam." Jackson says. Jackson tosses your phone back. "I have to go pick up Journey. I'll probably bring her back here." you say. You grab your keys and then walk to the lobby. You have no idea what's going on.
