Forty-First
:Chapter Forty-One:Jeongguk huffed as he got closer to the front door, shaking his head. He just wanted peace and quiet, especially since his dad had left with his little brother to go visit their aunt's house.
But, with Jeongguk's luck, he wasn't getting that peace.
Someone just had to stop by and try to bombard him. He tried to ignore it but damn persistency.
He unlocked the front door and pulled it open, conflicted on whether or not he should be surprised to see Taehyung at his door.
"What do you want?" Jeongguk wondered, leaning on the doorframe, arms loosely crossed over his chest as he stood there waiting impatiently.
"Why else would I be here?" Questioned Taehyung. "Now move aside so I can come in."
Jeongguk stopped the elder from moving forward. "Jaeyong isn't here, he's out with my dad."
"Even better, I didn't want to hangout with the little rugrat anyways." Taehyung shrugged lamely. "Now come on, let me in."
"Why? Are we even friends? Are we even close enough for you to think you can barge in at any time you want?" Jeongguk was definitely confused, trying to decipher this.
"Sure we are," Taehyung told and then pushed passed Jeongguk, the younger not even trying to stop him since this boy was already giving him a headache.
Taehyung had seen the TV was off and there was no activity going on in the living space of the Jeon residence. He hummed, turning around to see Jeongguk closing the door and locking it.
"Were you just chilling down here?" Wondered the elder, seeing Jeongguk deny with a shake of his head.
"No, I was upstairs doing my homework in peace before you decided to interrupt me oh-so rudely." Jeongguk rolled his eyes, proceeding to take himself up the steps back to where he resides.
Taehyung, being who he is, followed the teenager up. He wasn't going to sit down here by himself, there would be no point in being there then.
Jeongguk heard the extra steps behind him and silently chuckled to himself. He made it to his room, leaving the door open so Taehyung could walk right through.
"What homework assignment were you working on?" Taehyung decided to try for conversation, looking around the boy's room briefly before taking a seat on the edge of Jeongguk's bed.
"Uh, English right now." Jeongguk commented, seating himself in his chair by his desk, slipping his glasses back on.
"Awe, now you have the whole getup! Glasses, homework, you make the perfect nerd!" Taehyung grinned, receiving a small side-glare from Jeongguk who then returned to his homework but not without another remark.
"So, why aren't you doing your homework? What if you become ineligible to play due to your poor academics?" Jeongguk wondered without looking over, trying to jolt down his homework just to finish quicker so he wouldn't have to do it all night.
"Nonsense, I know how to care for my grades. I do my homework during school hours or when I have a bit of time." Taehyung said, pulling out his phone and checking the time. "I don't want to be like one of you lowlife's and spend my evening doing piles of homework." He added on, swaying a bit in his seat as he spoke.
