As a Percy Jackson fan, this pisses me off.
How much you wanna bet those 300 books were of old things like Moby Dick and Where The Red Fern Grows?
(I LOVED WTRFG, but that's besides the point)
Basically, the boys at these schools weren't allowed to read things they actually want. Everything is put in a box for them. And 300 isn't even that much. They only had a limited amount to choose from.

Twilight, I can understand. It's basically an overly obsessed girl gets a happy ending with her manipulative vampire boyfriend, while her old romantic interest dates her daughter.

But Percy Jackson? It's literally made to help people feel better about being different!
That's probably what that guy wanted, for all these boys to end up the same. -_-

No. If I had a son while in Britain, he was going to a school that suddenly banned the books, I'd let him read the books both to open him to amazing worlds, and to spite the school.

This dude wanted to say technology is damaging for the youth, and then take away the books that makes them WANT to stay away from screens and continue reading.
And by telling them which books they're supposed to read just makes them want to read LESS.

Bad influence....
How is Percy Jackson a bad influence!?
I wanna punch this guy with a good book!
Percy Jackson would encourage kids to fight for their friends and family, to protect those they care about, teach about dealing with grief, that you're not to young to make a difference, that even if you have something like ADHD or are handicapped: you still have so much potential.

This guy deserves to get whacked with a blue hairbrush.
I hope this was changed since 2017.
