What The Flying Schist Is This!?

So, anyone remember when DC was making a new comic about Starfire's daughter?

If not, I'll tell you.
Last year, there was news about an upcoming comic.
Okay.
It was of the daughter of Starfire and...

...The Penguin.

Ya. So far, off to a bad start.

It's about this overweight goth lesbian chick wanting to leave and go on an adventure of self finding, and she gets roped into some issues with her aunt Blackfire.

That's it.
That's what it is.

You would think, after a year of seeing people make fun of it, and then forget about it, it would be dropped, right?

Wrong!

DC came out with an announcement trailer.

"What happens next is gonna be totally messed up!"

...Who says that? What real teen says that?
It was cute and funny in stuff like Monster High.

But this...
It's a literal self insert.

I kid you not, if you look at the chick who made this and compare her to Mandy, they look almost EXACTLY alike!

And also-
Wasn't Starfire a teen around the time The Penguin was a villain? Therefore, making the relationship kinda creepy, since they would've probably met and faught when she was still a teen?

...this seems like something some 14 year old who's high on Pixie Stix would think up.

From what I heard, the comic industry is going down, while manga is going up.

This is why.
Because there's barely any good comics, and the actual ones are hidden gems.

And the pandering.
Ugh!

She had to be a "I'm not like other girls" trope.
The MUCH overused trope.

She's an overweight pale goth lesbian who sounds like she's been stuck in a smoking room for a while.
They're sooOooOooOOoOoo woke!
Look at them with their dIvErSiTy!

I, someone who's as pale as paper, goth, very much attracted to girls, and a lil on the chubby side (But I've been happily losing weight, and healthy), cringe at this.
It's just dam pandering. And not for a good story.

People hated the stuff like Snowflake and Safespace (The vampire dude may have had potential with some changes)
So why the fuk would they enjoy this!?

DC is done for at this point.
