Child Marriage is a huge issue all around the world. Even in places where the Age Of Consent is higher than wheb the childreb are forced into marriage.

An 8 year old, not even in puberty, shouldn't be worried about upsetting their fiance or spouse unless it's just a game between children.
Children shouldn't have to be scared that they have to please an adult.
Children shouldn't have to worry about getting r@ped or beaten.

I'm so happy this woman was able to escape, and is able to make a difference. It's not completely changed yet, but a small bit is still good.

And this is worldwide.
It's not just in India like mostly portrayed. It's on other countries, other continents. Children, mostly young girls, who aren't even 10 are already parents.

And some countries excuse it because of religion.
The bible says smash babies skulls at one point. That allowed now?
Some include animal sacrifices and torture. Are the people who cut open cats alive excused?

Religion isn't a reason, it's a pisss poor excuse.

A child who barely even knows about life other than wanting to have fun SHOULD NOT be forced into the adult situation of marriage. The only marriage they should have is silly playground games or wanting to playfully ask their parent to play marriage.

I'm happy women like her escape. Horrible that they endure so much verbal, physical, and sexual abuse before they do and even have kids with their abuser, but being able to run away is great. I just wish all of then were able to. Not all are, and some even get killed during.

This needs to end all around the world. People legally shouldn't be able to marry until their 20s, parents permission or not. This is just horrifying.
