I say after the recent shooting, this is justified.
"He's has never had any type of disciplinary action."
Ya, I refuse to believe a 10 year old is SUCH a goody two-shoes.
As a former member of the military, you should know the importance of discipline, dude.
Heck, even if he was a sweet boy who did no bad before, it's YOUR job as a father to sit down and teach him how and why this stuff is wrong, especially when you have some experience with violence."It's just a joke."
That what the parents of kids who have caused long-term damage to another kid have said. Seen that TWICE this year, and the year is nearly half way over. And this kid got his "humor" from somewhere. When I was 10, I did joke about gore, but in the Creepypasta sense. Not the "I want to torture puppies and kill a bunch of kids" sense.
Just because they're a kid doesn't mean they're innocent.
For all we know, he actually WAS planning on finding a gun and bringing it to school. The fact he was also saying it was for a special event day, where most of the kids would be there, still says that he knows how to plan for it.Even if he wasn't actually planning to do it, this still sends a message to those who are.
"Part of his larger political agenda." "Fake Law and Order."
Even as a lawyer trying to defend her client, suggesting the safety of children is an agenda and "fake justice" is just disgusting. ESPECIALLY after what just happened in Texas! Would she have said the same thing if it were her kid who got killed in a shooting? Even as just a lawyer?Just because someone is young doesn't mean they don't have something mentally wrong. Mental illness isn't an age thing most of the time.
And good on that kid who told someone about the texts. Maybe they saved lives, maybe it was a false alarm. But they shouldn't be afraid to tell someone about potential danger.
