John was coming back from work with a box in his arms. I hope Sherlock likes it. John thought and walked into the flat. Sherlock was expirementing on some eyeballs that were on the kitchen table. John shuddered. I'm never eating on there again. he thought.
Sherlock turned at the sound of footsteps. It was John holding a box. It was about twenty pounds and was left in the rain for the last day or so. And there was something moving in it. "What's in the box John?" Sherlock asked and walked over to it.
John opened it and there was two kittens in it. One was an orange one with green eyes and the other was black with blue eyes. John bought oufits for them on his way here. The orange one had a jumper on and the black one had a scarf on. The seemed to like them. The black one jumped out of the box and rubbed itself against Sherlock's leg. Sherlock jumped at the feeling but then got used to it. It felt nice. Sherlock smiled at the cat.
"Are you going to name yours? I already named mine Hedgehog." John said and picked his up. "Why did you name yours Hedgehog of all thing?" Sherlock asked and looked at the kitten that John was holding.
John smiled at it. 'When I found it he was wet so his fur was spiky. He looked a bit like a hedgehog so that's what I named him." Hegehog mewed and jumped down and started looking around. Sherlock looked down at his cat.
"I'll name mine Otter. It was my favorite animal as a child." Sherlock said. Hedgehog and Otter started playing together and boxing each other's ears. Sherlock emptied a box of "science stuff" and placed a blanket in it.
He placed it in his room, in the corner he thought would be the warmest. John smiled. Sherlock cares about something. And now he won't conplain about being bored. At least not as much.
