Early in the morning, the officer found the two ducklings, that is the two juniors waiting outside the door despite ordering them not to do so. He already guessed that some or the other from his team would come to the hospital in the morning to meet the prince who grew to be friendlier with his team in a few days which he wasn't able to do even after years. But he refused the idea thinking it wasn't something wise to do given to the current state where Zanjin is already suspecting him so it was likely that his team would also be watched. So the lesser the commotion the better he reasoned out. But seeing his orders being violated the officer spoke with an unfriendly face "Didn't I tell you guys to not come here?"
He received an immediate response from Jingyi who smiled at him sheepishly. Well, this credit goes to the prince who let them get too spoiled that they began started to give back answers and act against his orders with a smile. "His highness asked us to do something"
"Yibo? When? And how?" Asked Zhan wondering how did the prince even contact them while his mobile was left behind at home.
"Yesterday night we received a message from your number after a few minutes you ordered us not to come here. It was from his highness"
Finally, the officer understood how his mobile disappeared from the pocket of his coat and appeared on the coffee table beside his couch in the morning and how he woke under a neatly tucked blanket that kept him warm when he clearly remembered he didn't have one while going to sleep. Though a tiny smile tried to slip his lips he promptly composed himself.
"And what was so alarming that he contacted you and you guys couldn't wait to report him even until he gets out of the hospital?" Asked the officer who was currently confused that what might be of such high priority that the prince couldn't wait until they get back. What was so confidential that the prince even deleted the messages later.
" His highness asked us to bring something," said Jingyi. The officer wasn't ignorant of the way how Sizhui has been quiet all this time with his eyes towards the ground not meeting his. It didn't take long for him to realize that there was something that these two were hiding from him. If it was as small as something that could be handled by the juniors it shouldn't be that serious, right? Also, the prince too said he wouldn't keep things from him anymore. So he would like to ask the prince himself directly.
So instead of going to the reception, the officer went back inside together with the two little ducklings who were currently being more loyal towards the prince than their own team leader. He couldn't blame them though, after all, he himself was incapable of resisting the charm of the prince then it's obvious that his juniors weren't even a match. Surprised by the return of the person who just left not a few minutes ago the prince asked "Didn't you say that you were going to finish the formalities about my discharge?"
"I was but changed my mind because there is a huge crowd" Lied the officer which was more or less bought by the prince who knew how much the officer hated crowds.
