The only thing that can hurt a demon is a demon, so the demon hunters were created to do this. Humans that have taken in power, curses, and even body parts of demons, to fight the evil. The chance of surviving becoming a demon hunter is less than one. Those who survive are humanities only hopes to fight the demons that try to take over their world. It is even rare to become a demon hunter from a direct demon attack, which is where the main character will come in. He got his power to hunt and kill demons when a demon attacked and his body absorbed some of it's power from the attack.
