Everyone is able to summon a machine and have it fight for them. The machine's powers, abilities, and forms are all based on different things such as bond with their owner, absorbing ancient tech, and so on. The world is covered in ruins of destroyed high tech cities and dungeons. No one really knows much from back then, only that it's linked to the machines they can summon.
