Instead of just treasure chest full of gold and jewels, these pirates will be going after magic items. Sacred tools and weapons left by the gods out of boredom, to see what humans would do with them. This would be a fantasy setting, the world is nothing but islands and oceans. Most crews would have themes, or follow a captain that possesses a magic item.
There would be races other than humans in this, like a race of shark people, mermaids, maybe a form of animal people, goblins, and rat people too possibly.
