In this world everyone has magic, but the more you use it the more you corrupt and become a monster. Like if you overuse your magic you'll transform and go on a rampage. You can do special training to increase how much magic you can use, maybe everyone has a preset amount of spells they can use a day, or amount of mana that only refills once a day or something. Then there could be super OP spells, but using any of them would automatically corrupt you and turn you into a monster.
