In this world hunters are able to form contracts with monsters, but only one per hunter. The monster aides them in their hunts. The monster has to agree to form the contract as well. Monsters who form contracts gain a special ability, to unlock more forms with different abilities by devouring the monsters they help hunt. The strongest monsters in the world are known as The Caelesti, and they are all contracted monsters who's partners have died. When a human partner dies, the monster normally goes back to their old life and loses their forms, but there is a rare chance they can become a Caelesti, and instead of losing all the forms, they merge into one ultimate godly form. Most Caelesti don't bother humans and tend to live in solitude or as kings of other monsters, but occasionally one with a bloodlust from being driven mad by their own power will show up, and it takes an entire army of hunters to take it down. When a Caelesti is devoured, instead of getting a godly form, the beast that devours it will get a random form it has collected before.
