The Atlas was destroying cruiser after cruiser as the five lions worked on reflexing the Zaiforge canons blast with the shield panels floating around Earth. But the lions would only hold out so long with the shields, Sendak was leaving the Zaiforge cannons to carry on shooting at full power knowing the panelled shields would give out soon. 

Shiro and Sam talking over any and every plan they could use to help as the Atlas piratical barrier shiled activated around them. Defending them from anymore cruiser cannons shots while their own defences powered up again. 

The MFEs was destroying the defending canons left in the bases that once held  the Zaiforge canons in hopes to lesson the strain on the paladins and their lions. Everyone was giving their own and yet, it still wasn't enough. 

The shielded  panels were almost rupturing, close to taking the lions down with them by the Zaiforge blast. 

The courage and battle hype that once strengthen up all up for one last burst of power now fading away as things started turning hopeless once more. 

But no one was giving up the fight just yet, not until they had nothing else left in them. 

Sendak standing in his ship that was the closest to the Zaiforge cannons, having a front row seat as the paladins reign was coming to an end. A joyful and almost mad look filling his expression as he knew the five lions and their paladins would be destroyed within seconds before his very own eyes. 

And then the Zaiforge canons blasted through the shield panels, sending the five lions spinning off from the force as a single and more powerful blast shot down towards Earth. 

The atlas taking on the full blast with it's new shielding in hopes to protect earth just a little bit longer until someone could stop the cannons permanently.

"We've intercepted the beam, but we need more power!" Veronica cried out from her station as Shiro glanced up to Sendak cruiser, begging for his pleads to be heard from their inside ally.  

Everyone on earth could only stare in horror as they watched the battle from the Galran bases they were imprisoned too. Watching a purple blast fill the sky before sparking above as the Atlas held it back with all they got. 

"Paladins report in" Coran yelled out over the coms.

"Katie, get your cute little ass moving. We can't hold out much longer!" Shiro yelled out his demand over the coms knowing she could hear him while the rest just blinked for a moment and pretended that Shiro didn't just say that so openly. 

"I'm gone for a few hours and you lose your cool act, how shameful Takashi. But a little hot to hear, how's the Atlas holding up" Pidge teasing voice filled from the speakers in the Atlas control room making Shiro smirk.

"We can't hold out much longer and I'm still not getting a response from the paladins. Whatever you can do, we need you to do it now" Shiro answered honestly.

"Already am, I just had to deal with .. some unwanted attention from some unwelcomed guests. You might want to stand back and .. enjoy the show" Pidge sly voice came back, an alarm filling up behind her end of the coms as she gave a mad like laugh.

A couple of blasts echoing soon around her before cries and grunts came in reply. Pidge controlled breathing filling her helmet before explosions sparked to life from Sendak cruiser, the sides no longer connected to the ship and all power quickly shutting down.
