"How does it feel to be twenty years of age my daughter" Zarkon asked as looked to her, a slight smile on his lips as she entered the throne room.
Her step coming to a stop in shock as she looked to him, slight tears forming in her eyes and threatening to fall but she stopped herself. A gentle smile forming on her lips as she got ready to answer.
"It feels so much better now, thank you Zarkon" Pidge answered with a sweet smile, carrying on walking towards him as he seemed slightly puzzled over her words.
She was twenty now, six months ago the black paladin went missing after voltron attacked Zarkon ship. Zarkon only waking up yesterday and voltron been fighting with a new team.
But while it was also six months to most, in those six months she held a birthday that no one remembered.
She didn't mind if the new normal soldiers forgot since they were barely in her life and wouldn't know the day she was adopted by Zarkon or that he had guessed her actually birthday by counting back a couple months just to know the day of her birth.
She overlooked as Sendak and other commanders didn't speak a word over her birthday since they were all busy trying to one up each other in hopes of becoming the new ruler for the galra. She would know they would only expect a future favour from her if they did something for her birthday.
