Voltron hovered in space, a silence filling them all as they took in over everything that happened. Realising what they almost became and fighting back guilty thoughts over wondering if they were too harsh towards Lotor from the start, after all they almost turned like him so easily.

"Why didn't you start turning into a monster with us? Us paladins are chosen by our lions and yet, we almost completely lost ourselves in the quintessence filed. But you didn't, why?" Allura asked over the coms.

Pidge stayed standing beside the pilot seat, her tears quickly wiped away and she stood .. defeat but trying to not break down anymore then she always did.

"A hunger is born within you, an evil that you hide from yourselves for so long because you decide to live without every being tainted by it. You fight your demons, you become stronger and you find a way to carry on fighting. I never once actually fought my demons, I just accepted them and accepted who I became. In my eyes, I'm already a monster" Pidge answered with the hint of a smile on her face as she admitted the truth over herself.

"You never once lied to yourself over what you are or what you done. You just accepted it, learned to live with the blood that stains your hands and the guilt that fills your heart over everything you've done in secret. You couldn't become any worse then you already are, not in your eyes at least" Matt mumbled out the underline facts, a shaky breath leaving his lips as the facts hit a little hard now they all knew how Pidge saw herself.

"You all had so much to lose, so much to protect and I had hope the fear of not wanting to become the villain would be enough to keep the monster from awakening within you. I was wrong, I'm sorry for putting you all in such danger" Pidge shamefully admitted, lowing her head in guilt as she shouldn't have brought up the idea of entering the quintessence filed.

"You believed in us, I don't think you should ever feel guilty over that. Out of everyone here, you held enough faith in us defeating Lotor that you didn't think we could even be effected by quintessence. Anyway else feeling a little giggly over that fact, I mean, we didn't even believe in ourselves that much and yet, Pidgey here did. Thank you, Pidge" Lance spoke up, his voice calm and comforting as a small silly grin filled his face.

A laugh leaving everyone mouths before smiling like idiots over how much Pidge had believed in them and she was meant to be a past enemy to them all. It was a funny turn of events.

"For what's it worth, you are real hero out of us" Hunk commented with an honest smile as he looked towards Pidge who just stood stunned.

"He's not wrong, you're the hero. It wasn't for you snapping us out of our crazed minds, we would have turned out like Lotor and Zarkon. You just saved the universe, congrats" Keith admitted as he turned his head towards Pidge who held a tiny but true smile on her lips even as sadness took over her eyes.

"The real hero is Rover, he's the one who was able to sneak up on my brother enough to load the virus" Pidge replied, holding her arm a little as she thought over her drone forever stuck in the quintessence filed with her brother, her little buddy was the main hero in her eyes.

"Oh, you're back!" Coran voice filled the coms making them all give a sigh of relief to find the castle was okay while they were gone.

"My brother isn't a threat anymore" Pidge replied to Coran who gave a small nod but relief clearly filled his face.
