Keith was saved by Cosmo teleporting him away as Macidus used his magic to trap everyone in a frozen time bubble. Pidge pushing herself in the doorway, falling down the stairs just to make sure she wasn't in range of the bubble and not fully seeing if anyone else got away.

But it seemed Macidus hadn't notice her missing from the group, instead he was focused on taunting Keith. Hunting the black paladin down and using his magic to try and break Keith completely.

But Keith was strong and so was Cosmo, neither was backing down and Pidge had to respect the two for that.

But then, they found Kolivan state.

How he hanged in the air, barely alive and looking like a simple power cable in the air. It sent Keith emotions on a high, his anger taking over along with his instinct but one had to have a level head when fighting with Haggar druid.

And, Pidge was past the pissed level where she had never felt calmer.

Joining in the fight as Keith fell to his knees, Cosmo whining after being blasted by Macidus magic and Pidge left a nice deep cut down the druid back as payback for the wolf. Keith could get his own payback when he wasn't moping on the floor somewhere.

But now Macidus attention was on the one prize he wanted to pass on to his mistress, to give the one thing she'd want to completely destroy herself.

And Pidge, was oddly doing rather well compared to how she thought she would after falling down those long stairs. Damn, she really needed to get herself a teleporting animal or device, it was a better deal then walking or falling all the time.

But maybe she was doing better because she grew up with druids magic all around her, learning over them and always watching their every move as they were ready to attack her at any point of her childhood. Some would even "accidently" shoot magic towards her as a young cub, pretending she ran in the way when they were "training" their magic.

Of course, anyone with half a brain knew they were all just trying to kill her since Haggar couldn't betray Zarkon wishes.

But that's why Pidge knew the scent of the dark and twisted magic, she could hear the prickling rustle of choking air whenever one would teleport. She knew it all, her body always on high alert as she expected an attack ... Macidus had nothing on her.

She dodged every surprise attack, twisting a leg or fist towards where he would teleport when thinking he had her fool. She was giving double the damage back he tried giving to her, sure, he got a couple of cheap hits in but she was still standing. Her helmet somewhere left at the end of the stairs, a graze on her chin from where he sent her in the wall and a cut lip but she was still standing ready to fight.

She's been zapped by magic so much before that the stinging pain was just a pain she learnt to live with. To carry on stepping forward and completing her duties when they would try slowing her down or harming her enough to fail when following orders. She wasn't super human but she's learnt to live with the stinging that could send many to their knees.

And all Keith could do, was watch with wide eyes as she carried on fighting.

"How?" Macidus snarled out as he stood a couple feet away from her, she stood protectively in front of Keith and Cosmo direction not letting the druid close to them anymore.
