today is the spring festival for sicheng's high school. many activities are organized during the event that lead to the main activity, which is the basketball match between a neighbouring school and theirs later on.

there's also what their principal called a 'charity fun-fair'. since it's mandatory for every club to partake in it, the cheerleader squad (sicheng himself included) decided to sell homemade baked goods. most of the profit will be given to the club, while the rest will be donated to orphanages and animal shelters.

sicheng and his best friend – ten – are responsible to look after the stall for the first few hours. they agreed to take the opening shift so they can watch the game later. their captain taeyong was meant to join them, but he had something personal to do so it's just them.

" something personal ?" kun parrots, looking sceptical. as far as he's concerned taeyong never neglects responsibilities for personal affairs.

ten looks up to him as he arranges a tray of cookies on top of the counter. " remember lily ?" kun nods. lily is taeyong's classmate, a member of the student council. " he's going to confess today ."

kun gasps. before he could say anything, a grumpy-looking sicheng who went to change his clothes thirty minutes ago returns. ten and kun both turn to him; ten smirking while kun's eyes widen.

" chittaphon leechaiyapornkul. care to explain ?" sicheng says through gritted teeth with an obviously fake smile.

he's wearing the cheerleader uniform; red tank top and gold stripes on each side – except the trouser that was designed for male cheerleaders is replaced by the women's skirt. the skirt is similar to the tank, red and gold stripes, and flows down above his knees to reveal his legs.

when sicheng went to change, they're short on trousers but somehow has exactly one extra skirt. the others had no idea how this happened and even apologized to him for the shortage even if it's not their fault. his instinct tells sicheng it has something to do with ten, that devil, because he's in charge for technical stuff.

ten whistles lowly, eyeing sicheng from head to toe, while he stacks the cupcakes on the stand. sicheng narrows his eyes at him.

" you look... phenomenal ." kun says carefully, not wanting to be at the receiving end of his junior's death glare.

" I know I look good, but what's this ?" sicheng gestures to the skirt, swinging around for good measures, and the skirt flows around with him. the skirt actually has functional pockets (which doesn't happen often with women's clothing).

" it's called marketing ," ten reasons. " think of it as branding. you alone would attract customers, yes, but you in a skirt would double the amount ."

sicheng deadpans him. " why can't you wear it ?"

" you have a nicer ass, as much as I hate to admit. plus you're the second-in-command after taeyong ."

ten's explanation doesn't make sicheng feel better in the slightest. it's like 15 degrees out here and he's freezing – plus if only he knew about this earlier, he could've brought knee-high stockings like the girls do.

" I have no idea why I agreed on looking after this stupid booth with you ." he says in a retired tone, scurrying behind the counter to help ten.

the older nudges him with a shit-eating grin. " hey, don't say that. taeyong's confessing today, remember? we should be supportive ."

sicheng grunts and kun shoots him a sympathetic look. he should've been used to his best friend's antics by now, but this was... unexpected. he doesn't mind wearing skirt, not in the slightest – this isn't his first time after all. but he would've appreciated a prior notice.
