but renjun thinks if he has to spend his life in jail for killing sicheng in his sleep, it will be worth it.

you see, sicheng's a great brother. he helps renjun with his studies, buys renjun food, plays video games with him. even listens to renjun's rants about his hopeless crush on his classmate.

although sicheng is annoying at times, like when he teases him for his height or crush. but overall he's okay. after all, brothers tend to suck, so sicheng can be considered as above average.

however, renjun loathes it when sicheng starts complaining about his one-and-only boyfriend (or is it ex? he doesn't know anymore).

the said ex is also jaemin's cousin and sungchan's equally-annoying older brother – jung jaehyun.

to put it simply, sicheng and jaehyun have been in an on-and-off relationship since senior high. then renjun's family moved to beijing because of sicheng's studies, while jaehyun stayed in seoul, so they had to do long-distance.

it won't be a problem if the two had their shit together.

jaehyun's oblivious while sicheng gets unnecessarily jealous yet never tells jaehyun. he often chooses to sulk in silence and complain to renjun instead of his own boyfriend.

he will frown when their mutual friends post candid pictures of jaehyun with other people on their instagram stories, scold jaehyun about it, then break up. then they'll get back together after, what, two days?

it's stupid. they're stupid, renjun's aware.

they love each other, obviously. but sicheng's insecurities and jaehyun's ego can get in the way sometimes.

it brings us to today.

their mutual friend and jaemin's sister, jaesoo, is getting married. since jaesoo practically threatened to end sicheng's life if he doesn't come, he had to clear out his schedules. which means they'll stay in seoul for a while.

the jungs live a few blocks away from jaemin's house and had offered for the dongs to stay with them. sicheng's mother agreed, since she's joined by the hips with jaehyun's mother.

this means sicheng has to face his ex-boyfriend again after a month ghosting on him. even live under the same roof.

which, clearly, he won't do without complaining to renjun. again.

" hey, listen, you brat. your beloved brother is having a dilemma, how dare you ignore me ?" sicheng whines, resting his head on renjun's shoulder.

renjun resists the urge to flick his forehead. the backseat is spacious enough yet sicheng chooses to stay as close as possible to renjun. he's really irritating (and clingy) when in denial.

" gege, it's jaehyun hyung. your boyfriend of five years. it's not like he's a celebrity or something. chill. get your shit together and get married already, then move far away so I don't have to face you anymore ."

their mother, xinyi turns back, frowning. " language, renjun ," renjun mumbles an apology, glaring at his brother. " but sicheng, your brother's right. it's jaehyun, you've known him for years. although you might not be in good terms now, it's for jaesoo, your own friend. don't give the jungs any trouble ."

" fine. will doyoung hyung be there ?" sicheng asks, pouting.

" I think yes. his mother said he's pretty busy with college, but he will make it ."
