it was boring. the whole class was quiet, but not even one of them was paying attention to the lesson. mister cho, their literature teacher, was reading some poetry about death, with complicated big words no one understood.

the atmosphere was dull. xiaojun yawned for the fifth time in a row. he throws his head back, feeling really sleepy. his seatmate, sicheng was writing something on his notebook. to be precise, he was ranting about the boring poem.

I wish someone would be this passionate when they're talking about me just how much as this man is talking about death. he wrote.

he teared the paper up and crumpled it into a ball. he was about to stuff in under his desk along with the rest of his rubbishes, but then a piece of note caught his attention.

he never saw it before. it wasn't his. it was new and the handwriting was unfamiliar. seems like it's not from his friends' either, because if so he would have recognized the handwriting with ease.

he took it out and read the note in a quick glance.

if being deadly gorgeous is a crime, can I arrest you? -m

he furrowed his brows and cringed. is it some sort of a prank? whoever it was, they seem like someone who enjoys dad jokes and cheesy pick-up lines. not to forget, puns.

" hey, xiaojun, do you know who wrote this ?"

he showed the note to his friend. the younger took it and examined it for a moment. but his reaction was the same as sicheng.

" nope. this pick-up line is too cheesy, though. could be yukhei ."

" but this isn't his handwriting ..." xiaojun shrugged.

" the letter m must be their name. start with that, I suppose ."

sicheng thought for a while. how many m's does he know? well. mom, impossible. may from biology class? nah, she's not into pick-up lines. his neighbour, moonbyul doesn't go to this school.

then it clicked. mark? no way, that's not possible. he's younger and sicheng's pretty sure he had his eyes on donghyuck.

he thought for a while but then shrugged it off. it could be some sick prank, or the sender could have the wrong person. so it's better if he just forgets about it.

he crumpled it up. and stuffed it into the under of his table.

after p.e., sicheng got into his class to grab his water bottle. he was panting really hard because they had a basketball game that day. as usual, jaehyun was really competitive.

of course, they're best friends. but there's nothing jaehyun loves more than basketball. no wonder he's the school team's captain. sicheng won't be surprised if he wouldn't get married just to focus on that sport.

and as usual too, his team won. they were a tie, but then jaehyun scored at the very last minute. his dedication for basketball is really admirable. and he looks hot while playing it, too.

sicheng tried to search for his bottle under his table when he saw another note. he furrowed his brows. they're still pulling this sick prank? don't they got something else to do?

he almost smiled at the note, but he shook his head. this is just a sick prank. he shouldn't be thinking of it. but he can't help it. the note was sweet, it made his whole day.
