the chinese stopped his steps when he heard the voice. he let out a slow sigh, and he adjusted his bag's strip on his shoulder. he didn't bother to turn around or budge because he figured out the caller must be running like a little kid towards him right now.

and he was correct. yuta ran to him and then threw his arm around sicheng's shoulder as he approached the younger. sicheng rolled his eyes when yuta smiled cheekily.

" what do you want, nakamoto ?" he asked, clearly unfazed.

people around them were staring but none of them couldn't care less. of course, yuta is the school's popular kid because his parents are wealthy and he has a beautiful, bitchy girlfriend. while sicheng is just an adorable straight As boy who loves books and junk food more than he loves humans.

normally, a jock and a nerd won't be a perfect match. but they were a little bit different. yuta won't stop clinging to sicheng despite the fact that he has a girlfriend, and sicheng won't stop rejecting his love for the younger. no one knows if it's a romantic or a platonic love, but it's still weird.

sicheng succeeded in making yuta's girlfriend, yena, jealous a lot of times without putting any efforts although she was known for being such an 'unbothered' bitch. in the other hand, the chinese always gets annoyed when yuta pops up out of nowhere and clings to him.

to be honest, of course sicheng was doubting yuta at first. he thought yuta was just messing with him and giving false hopes. because as I said earlier, jocks and nerds don't make sense.

but then, he began to loosen up. he can see the japanese's sincerity and it's admirable. yuta's very genuine in wanting to be his friend, and he also wants to be the older's friend but he just won't let it show.

although yuta might want to be more than just friends. it's pretty obvious, considering how he would flirt with sicheng here and there, winks at him and calls him pet names. he also would buy a lot of gifts for the chinese and compliment his looks.

sicheng dares to bet yuta spend more money on him than on his own girlfriend. but of course, the chinese respects their relationship and never went too far. he looks at yuta as 'just friends' only.

" I have something to tell you ." yuta said again, and the younger motioned for him to continue. " I like it when you wear glasses... you become even cuter and a little bit manly ."

sicheng smiled at his statement but quickly brushed it off.

" now when you said that, suddenly I want to take it off ." yuta chuckled at his words, but then he added. " but then I won't be able to walk because I'm blind as fuck ."

" it's okay, I'm here for you! I will guide you through the dark, and probably to the cafeteria. definitely to the cafeteria, since you love their square-shaped two-dollar pizzas."

sicheng managed another smile, but he didn't brush it off this time. yuta awed at his cute grin and pinched his cheek. the younger playfully rolled his eyes and lightly shoved him.

" fear not, babe, I'm only gross when I'm with you ." yuta said teasingly as he winked.

sicheng shook his head, chuckling. but his cheeks were blushing a shade of faint pink. although it might not mean anything, but he finds himself flustered every-time yuta calls him by cringe-worthy pet names.
