" you—what ?"

sicheng spoke in disbelief as his eyes widened. yukhei shrugged, kicking the rock that was on the ground. the older was really speechless of what he had just said.

" I got detention because I texted in class. and I skipped it ." yukhei explained again, rubbing his nape.

the latter face-palmed himself. he knows his boyfriend is a big dumbass, but he never expected he was this dumb. how could you skip detention? that's just idiotic. he doesn't know if yukhei is dumb or naïve.

in the younger's defense, sicheng was the reason he got detention. they were texting in class and he got caught. because from mister park's observation, no one looks at their crotch and smile.

" xuxi. detention is not something you can skip ."

yukhei nervously chuckled when sicheng deadpanned him. but then the older eventually sighed and shook it off. that's yukhei, anyways. you can't expect much from him.

yukhei reached for his boyfriend's hand and intertwined their fingers. sicheng, of course, didn't resist. he can never really get mad at the latter. then they began to fall into steps beside each other.

" but why on earth would you skip it ?" he asked, breaking the silence. " you know, mister park will give you even more detention. ten told me because he once skipped too ."

" making sure you got home safely is way more important ." sicheng almost smile. almost.

" that is still not an excuse to run away from detention. but, good try ."

they walked together through the crowd of people walking around, fingers still locked with each other's. this became their routine since they were still friends. their houses aren't really far, so they often go to and walk home from school together.

when they reached the ice cream shop, yukhei stopped. he was quiet but judging from the way he was eyeing the shop, sicheng knows he wants to eat one. well, his mom is probably still at work, so maybe they could go on a little date now since they're not rushing.

" let's get in ."

" huh ?" yukhei's fantasy bubbles were popped and he turned to the older. " c—can we ?"

" why not? it's the perfect weather for some ice cream. come on, I'll pay ."

yukhei's face lightens up like a little child. sicheng giggled at his adorableness. then, the couple got into the shop. sicheng went to the counter to order while yukhei grabbed a table.

yukhei got a green tea ice cream and the latter got a cookies and cream one. while waiting for his boyfriend, yukhei swung his feet back and forth like a kid waiting for his mother.

when sicheng got back with their ice creams, he smiled brightly. they sat next to each other while enjoying the sweet dessert in silence.

" thank you ."

sicheng spoke and he continued to lick his ice cream. yukhei who was biting his ice cream like a maniac turned to him in confusion.

" thank you for what ?"

" for skipping detention for me ." sicheng turned to him and flash a warm smile.

yukhei smiled again and nodded. he's really behaving like a kid. it was adorable. and sicheng decided to tease him a bit.

" there's some cream on your mouth, silly ." he said, chuckling.

" really? where—"

before he could finish his question, sicheng cupped his cheek and connected their lips. yukhei's eyes widened and he froze. but not long after that, he returned the kiss.

yukhei wrapped his arms around sicheng's neck, deepening the kiss. the latter won the dominance with ease and slid his tongue into yukhei's mouth. he could feel the older smirking through the kiss and he blushed a bit. 

sicheng broke the kiss shortly after, before he gets carried away. because things would get real messy once he's really into a making out session. but his smirk never left his mouth. yukhei who was flustered averted his gaze.

" th—there's kids around, sicheng ." he said as he playfully shoved his boyfriend away.

" really? oops, my bad ." the older shrugged while smiling smugly.

yukhei rolled his eyes at his boyfriend's statement. then, he continued to eat his green tea ice cream peacefully. well, until sicheng spoke again.

" can you help me clean this ?"

he pointed to himself. there was some cream on his lips and a little on his cheek. he did it on purpose, but the younger didn't know it. yukhei shook his head and tried to reach a tissue on the table, but then sicheng stopped him by grabbing his arm gently.

" no. use your lips ." he smirked again while pointing to yukhei's mouth.

the younger looked at him in disbelief. his face was turning bright red and he could have exploded from flatter anytime now. he looked up to sicheng who was still smiling smugly. he just knows how to tease yukhei and it works every time.

the younger bit his lips, hesitating. there's a little kid with his mother in the front, but they were busy chatting so maybe they won't notice. other than them, the staff was doing her work, not giving a damn about whatever they're doing. so it's a green light. 

then he smiled and spoke.

" s...sure ."
