a/n: okay so I wanted to starve the jaewination but then dongsichengs- gave me the 🥺 face so take this short shot because I'm weak for her.

jaehyun holds his hand down and sicheng took it. the korean helped him to climb the staircase and got up to the rooftop. when the chinese finally got onto it, he smiled warmly.

they both settled down on the floor, sitting next to each other. jaehyun leans back with his arms supporting his body weight while sicheng folded himself like a chair.

he looked up to the night sky and a small smile left his lips. the wind gently brushes against his skin and he shivers. jaehyun noticed this and took his jacket off, putting it on the chinese.

" thanks ..." he murmured as he turned to his boyfriend.

jaehyun grinned and threw his arm around the shorter's neck, bringing him closer. sicheng snuggled into his chest and he rested there. jaehyun's chest felt warm. it felt like home to him.

almost every night, sicheng would sneak out from his house by his room balcony and jaehyun would take him here. they would spend hours here, sometimes even spending the night on this abandoned building's rooftop.

it's not like sicheng's parents would care anyways. he figured out they don't give a damn about him anymore. they are the reason why sicheng sneaked out in the first place.

they couldn't stop arguing over the littlest things. it's not just a small matter, considering the fact that they have serious problems against each other. it's sickening and sicheng couldn't stand the tension.

so, he spends more peaceful time with his boyfriend here instead of locking himself up in his room, listening to his parents' constant shouting.

" my mom was talking to my nanny over the phone. and I overheard their conversation ." the chinese started, cuddling closer to jaehyun.

" what was it about ?"

" I think my parents are getting a divorce. it's about time, to be honest. but they couldn't decide my legal guardian, so mom might send me to live with my nanny in china ."

" do... do you want to live with her ?"

jaehyun's question hangs in the air as sicheng hesitated to answer. he loves his grandmother, very much, but he doesn't want to leave. he wants to stay here, in korea.

more importantly, he wants to stay in his boyfriend's arms.

sicheng looked up to the sky again. normally, it would be covered with moist haze and smoke, but tonight it looked clear. he could clearly see the stars and the scene was breath-taking.

his eyes were fixed on a certain star. the star was the brightest and it outshone the others. it looked really pretty.

" I don't want to leave you ." he blurted out. " in my chaotic life, you're my only comfort. I don't know what'll happen to me without you ."

jaehyun managed a weak smile and ran his hand through the shorter's hair. sicheng turned to him and looked up. jaehyun could see sadness filing the love of his life's eyes, and it's painful.

sicheng's life isn't a wonderful story, to say at the very least. he got bullied when he was in primary school. his only sister passed away two years ago to save his life. his first love left him when he needed him the most.

and now, his parents are breaking apart and he has to live with his grandmother. it's not easy for him.

" I don't want you to leave, too. I want you on my side forever so I could take care of you ."
