"Daddy, can me and John take a rest for today. We'll be back tomorrow at the office." I said as I looked at dad. 

"Okay. You went through a lot emotions today, sweetheart." Dad said and he kissed my forehead.

"I'll see you at the office tomorrow." Dad said. "With you." Dad pointed at John.

"Yes sir." John said. I smiled and kissed dad's cheek.

"Bye daddy. Bye guys." I said.

"Take care." Cosmo said. John and I held hands and we went outside the airport. 

"Whose apartment?" John asked.

"Maybe yours. I still have my things there right?" I asked him. 

"Of course." He winked at me and he called a cab for us. 

~At the apartment~

"Finally! A bed I can lay down!" I said and I lay on John's bed. I heard him chuckled and I felt him lay beside me and he wrapped his arms around me. I felt him went near me and began kissing my neck. I giggled at his action and I turned to look at him.

"What do you want, Mr. Royce?" I asked while smirking.

"I want you now, Ms. Gerard." 

"You can have me all day and all night, honey." I said and he began kissing me.

~The next day~

~Office~

Me and John went inside the department office of dad. I looked into the glass panel of his office and saw no sign of him. 

"Where's my dad?" I asked as I enter the office. 

"Not yet here. You seemed to be earlier than him, today." Henry said.

"The apartment was nearby and I'm glad I'm early." I said. I went to an empty table and showed John's place to work.

"This will be your place while you're under the supervision of me and dad." I said as he began putting his things on the table.

"Why is this table empty?" He asked as he sat down on the chair.

"Well, my assistant quits. So, while you're on this table, you'll be working for me." I said as I leaned on the table and smirked at him.

"God, you're so hot." He whispered softly and I giggled at him.

"Time to work." I said and I peck his lips and went inside my office, which is just beside John's table.

"Henry!" I called Henry and saw him went inside my office.

"Any word?" I asked.

"We have a woman on the book." He said.

"Why?" 

"She was the one who paid the bills at the hospital when the arrest happened."

"Find her. What's her name?" I asked.

"Marie Bineaux." He said as he went outside. I got a file folder from my table. I opened it and began examining the case. While reading, I began tying my hair into a ponytail. I grabbed the file and went outside my office. 

"Noah, any word from dad?" I asked as I went out.

"ETA in 5 minutes." Noah said and I groaned. 

"Noah, Cosmo, come at my office." I said. 

"Yes boss." Cosmo teased and I shake my head. I went inside my office and I took a seat. 

"What's up?" Noah asked as they enter the office.
