THE FORBIDDEN LOVE 18

~FAMILY DINNER AT NATHAN AND Y/N'S HOUSE~

Both families are already here for the dinner Nathan and I prepared. When everyone arrived, we all began the dinner. While dinner was commencing, Mom brought up a question that caused everyone confusion as well.

"Y/N, darling, can I ask? Why are we having dinner? It's that we don't love it, we appreciate it and we're just curious as to why out of nowhere you'll ask everybody for dinner?" Mom asked. Nathan and I looked at each other and he nodded.

"It's because..." I looked at everyone and saw all their eyes were on me. "I'm pregnant!" I said and both parents were shocked. Mom and Nathan's Mom stood and gave me and Nathan a hug. Dad patted Nathan's shoulder while Nathan's dad hugged me and then, both fathers exchanged pleasantries.

"Oh my gosh! We're so happy and excited for you both!" Nathan's Mom said as she sat back in her chair.

"We all are, hon." Nathan's dad said. "I'm finally gonna have a grandbaby before I die!" 

"Dad!" Nathan and his older sister, Ally, said at the same time.

"What!? It's just an expression." Nathan's dad said.

"But still!" Ally said. 

"I'm so excited for my grandbaby to be born!" Mom said and I chuckled as I lay my head on Nathan's shoulder.

"We are too." Nathan said and he kissed my forehead.

~AFTER 4 MONTHS~

"Everybody, let's count to 3! In 3...2...1...Press the button, Mr. Gardner!!" The host said. Just then, Nathan pressed the red button in front of us and we saw the color blue explode at the canon at our back. Nathan and I jumped in excitement knowing that our baby's gender is boy! I hugged Nathan and saw him whisper a lot of I love you to me and the baby. I shed a couple of tears and saw Nathan kneel in front of me and kiss my baby bump.

"I love you so much, buddy!" Nathan said. Just then, he stood and wiped my tears. He kissed my lips passionately.

"I love you so much." He said.

"I love you more." I replied. I felt someone hugged me from behind and saw Mom. I saw Nathan run around in excitement knowing that he was going to have a junior.

~LABOR~

"Argh!! Nathan!!!" I screamed from the pain.

"Here I am, I'm here." Nathan said as he ran from downstairs and into our bedroom. I immediately held his hands and squeezed hard.

"It hurts so much." I said.

"Let's go to the hospital." He said and he immediately carried me, bridal style, and brought me inside the car. "I'll get your things and the baby's things." He hurriedly said as he ran back inside the house. As soon as I was settled in my seat, the contraction stopped. I began timing my contractions and it's in between. When Nathan came back with two bags and our snack bag, he immediately placed them in the car and rode the driver's side. 

"Are you excited?" I asked him.

"Yes, I do. But, are you okay for now?" He asked worriedly as he wiped my sweat off of my forehead.

"I'm fine for now." I said. Just then, I grabbed his hand and squeezed. "Now, I'm not." I said and I saw Nathan doing the breathing exercise with me. As soon as the contractions stopped, Nathan drove us to the hospital. I got my phone and called all the family to come to the hospital.

When we arrived, we were both transferred to my room. Nathan did pay extra for us to have a private room. The doctor and nurses began checking me and the baby. Nathan put on his proud smile hearing that me and the baby were strong, in a very good condition, and I was ready to push the baby out. When both families arrived, they saw me and Nathan in a hospital gown, both ready. I held Nathan's hand in support as I kept squeezing his hand distracting myself from the pain.

When we were already in the labor room, I only pushed for three times and our baby boy came out easily. As soon as we heard the cries from my son, Nathan went near the doctor and he cut the umbilical cord. The doctor placed my son in my chest while he was still full of blood. 

"Hi there, baby..." I said as tears fell from my eyes. I saw Nathan caress my head as he kissed my head. We both looked at our son.

"Hey there, buddy. It's mommy and daddy." Nathan said and I softly cried. The nurses took our son for a clean-up and a check-up. The doctor finished fixing me up and properly brought my legs down the bed. I sighed in relief knowing that my son was safely out. I looked at Nathan and saw him staring at his son while smiling big. Our hands are still intertwined with each other and I gave him a soft squeeze.

"I love you so much." He said as he pecked my lips.

"I love you more." I said. 

"Mr. and Mrs. Gardner, what should we name the baby?" The nurse asked. I looked at Nathan and nodded at him.

~AFTER A COUPLE OF HOURS~

I finally arrived at my room, with our son in his baby bed, following me as the nurses pushed us inside the room. I heard the rest of the family coo when they saw the baby following pursuit. Nathan went beside me as soon as the nurses left the room. He kissed my head and smiled.

"Nathan, can we carry the baby?" Nathan's Mom asked.

"Yeah, sure." Nathan said. I saw Nathan go in with me on the bed. I wrapped us in a blanket while he placed me in between his arms. I cuddled him and sighed contentedly.

"What did you name your baby?" We heard Mom asked.

"Ethan Nathaniel Gardner." Nathan said and he was smirking proudly.

"Oh, that's so heavenly." Mom said as they looked at Ethan.

"He's a mini Nathan." We heard Dad say.

"Ouch..." I said in a playful tone and they laughed. "I was the one who carried him for nine months and yet he looks like his father." I said and they chuckled. 

"But he has your mouth and your eyes." Nathan's Dad said. 

"Well, I'm glad I have something he can have." I said and they laughed.

"Why don't you rest up, my love?" I heard Nathan tell me. I looked at him and smiled.

"Are you sure? I want to take care of him, too." 

"Yes, I'm sure. With the grandparents, I think they can handle Ethan for a while." He chuckled and I nodded. 

"Okay, I love you." 

"I love you more. Thank you for this life." He said as he pecked my lips.

"Thank you for everything." I said. I closed my eyes and fell into slumber. I'm finally complete. I'm happy and contented with the life I built with Nathan. Thank God for giving me this life with the love of my life, and now with our son.
