ARRANGED MARRIAGE

Thomas and I are together for 2 years now. His parents liked me, but the problem is, before Thomas was born, his parents: Frank and Eva Reilly, had made an arrangement for their son and their business partner's daughter for an arranged marriage. 28 years later, me and Thomas just knew about his arranged marriage with Anne.

I also knew about Thomas' ghost-friends and I happen to see them too. Julia, Penny, Milo and Harrison. I also knew them since childhood, since me and Thomas grew up together, but only separated when my mom and dad decided to go to London. I was only 9 when I left Thomas, heart-broken and that was the last time I've seen the 4 ghosts. (Let's just say that the ghosts never left Thomas' side.)

I pursued law in London and strive harder and my name is known in London and America. I went back to States 4 years ago. I was in the middle of finalizing my papers for my mansion in San Francisco, when I bumped ways with Thomas. From there, we became good friends, close friends and best friends. Until 2 years ago, me and Thomas decided to level up our relationship. Thomas also told me that his 4 ghosts friends were back again. 

Right now, we are eating dinner in a finest restaurant at the city with his parents.

"It's good to see you again, Y/N." Eva said.

"Thank you Eva. Well, this past 4 years were amazing years to me." I said as I looked at Thomas and he smiled big at me. I smiled back at him and felt his hand went to mine and we intertwined it. 

"So, how's your family Y/N?" Frank asked me.

"They're fine. Thank you for asking." I said.

"Are they still in London?" He added.

"Yes, they are."

"How do you guys visit each other? Are they the one visiting or you?" Eva asked.

"Actually, I am booking a flight to go to London in 2 weeks time. I'll just visit them for a couple days, catch up with them and go back to States, since work is very demanding." I replied.

"You're going to London? You didn't told me you already booked a flight." Thomas told me.

"I haven't booked a flight yet, but I already told you what the plan is." I softly told him.

"Yeah, you did.." Thomas said and he removed his hand from mine instead, he put it around me and he put his chin on my shoulder. I looked at him and we both smiled at each other. 

"Thomas, the reason me and your father came and invited the two of you for dinner, it's because we have to tell you something.." Eva said capturing my and Thomas' attentions. We both looked at them and slight panic washed my face.

"What is it mom?" Thomas asked as he gripped my shoulder.

"Before you were born, we have made an arrangement for you." Frank said.

"What arrangement?" Thomas asked.

"Arranged marriage." Eva said and that crushed me. I felt Thomas tensed and I held his thigh but didn't manage to look at him.

"With who?" Thomas asked softly not believing what's happening.

"With Anne." Frank and Eva said.

"Anne?! But, she's my ex-girlfriend." Thomas said. I didn't even heard their next conversation cause I zoomed out. I looked at the window beside me and looked at the city. Just then, I saw the 4 ghosts outside the window. I just sent a small hurt smile and I just looked at Thomas and when he looked at me. I broke the eye contact and looked at my hands and fiddled with my fingers. I saw Thomas' hand went to mine and he intertwined it.
