*Y/N
Right now, Thomas hit the bumper of the police officer at the station's parking. I lean at the trunk of Thomas' car while rubbing my forehead with too much stress that's happening today. Just then, I heard Penny shout. I looked at them and saw the bus again. I approached Thomas.
"Go talk to them, I'll handle the officer." I said and he nodded as he went in front of the ghosts. I faced the officer and began to talk to him.
"Officer, I know Thomas caused you a lot of headaches for the past two days already but I assure you nothing's wrong with him. He's just having rough days and we're willing to pay. We're just in a rush for our job." I said.
"Job in this time?!"
"Yes, sir." I said.
"Honey, she wants you." I heard the officer's wife say while giving him their daughter. The officer went to sing a lullaby to his daughter when I felt a hand hold my shoulder. I saw it was Thomas looking at the officer who was singing a lullaby.
"That's the song." Penny said.
"That's the song you used to sing to Thomas." Julia said.
"Go, Thomas." I said to him. He nodded.
"Are you Billy? Is your name Billy, your first name?" Thomas asked.
"To my friend." The officer said.
"Sergeant, I'm gonna ask maybe are you adopted?" Thomas asked.
"Look man, if you don't shut up I'mma just take you inside."
"Look I know I sound absolutely insane, but is your mother's name Penny Washington?" Thomas asked.
"Billy!" The wife said and that made Penny jumped in excitement.
"Now what this is about?" Billy asked.
"You have two sisters right? Shirley and Diane, right?"
"Who are you? Is this some kind of sick joke that you brought up to something?"
"Actually sir, if you may." I butted helping the distressed Thomas. "Your mother and Thomas' and I's mother were a friend of hers. When the accident happened, Thomas' mother and Penny were in the same hospital. His mother was giving birth to him, while your mother is there from the accident." I said and I looked at Thomas and the two ghosts.
"Your mother sang the song and my mother picked up on it and sang it to me. Which made me ask about your mother." Thomas said. "Your mother wanted to know if her kids are all okay. Your mother loved you very much. She would've been proud of you." Thomas said. Just then, Penny went inside Thomas' body and hugged Billy. I gasped and I held out a giggle. Penny left Thomas' body and it was an awkward push away from Billy.
"I'mma check this out, Reilly. If isn't true--"
"It is true! Well, believe me it's true." Thomas said.
"Come on, sweetheart." Billy told his wife. Then, they went to the car.
"He's such a cop." Penny said and I giggled.
"It's humiliating." Thomas said.
"Someone's ego got hurt." I said and I only saw him glared at him. Thomas waved goodbye to Billy. He wave back and walked inside his car.
"Okay, I'm ready." Penny said.
"Finally!" The bus driver said. Then, Penny and Julia hugged.
"Good bye, darling!" Penny told Julia. "I'll remember you, Julia."
"I'm really gonna miss you." Thomas told Penny.
"I'm saying goodbye to both of my sons." Penny said and she went near Thomas and caressed him without touching him. Hmm... So ghost and human don't have the physical touch... Penny went near Thomas and whispered, which earned a smirk in Thomas' smile.
"Thomas, don't work too hard. It is okay to be a good guy." She said. Then, we all chuckled.
"Y/N, thank you for believing in us and Thomas." Penny said as she walked in front of me.
"Thank you for making me realize things as well." I said. Penny went near my ears and whispered.
"I hope the two of you get together." Then, she walked to the bus. While I chuckled at her.
"I hope so too." I said. Penny began giving Thomas some advice and she went inside the bus. I held Thomas' hand as I looked at the way of the bus. I felt Thomas kissed my head and I saw Julia smiled at us.
"Let's get going to Julia's." Thomas said and I nodded. We rode the car and drove to John's farm, which was in Greenfield Ranch, Thousand Oaks, California.
"Are you excited?" I asked Julia as I looked back at her in the car.
"Kinda. There's excitement and anxious." She said.
"Don't be. You're going to finally see the love of your life." I said.
"I know. It feels great that I get to see him again one last time. But at the same time, I'm scared knowing that he moved on and finally have someone to be with him in his life." She said. I smile sadly as I sat in my seat and saw Thomas glanced at me, catching each other's eyes.
"We won't know until we see for ourselves." I said.
"Yeah, cheer up, Julia." Thomas said.
"Then, I guess it's time to hit the road." Julia said and we began our exploration to John's farm.
*THOMAS' POV
~AFTER AN HOUR~
Y/N fell asleep. My coat is protecting her from the cold. I try snatching a glance at her way and can't help but smile at her sleeping figure.
"Thomas..." I heard Julia.
"Yup?" I asked.
"Why don't you tell her already?" I sighed and shake my head in disagreement.
"I can't mess up our friendship. And I can't lose her. I'm afraid to lose her. You know what happens the minute she's gone, I'm crazy without her."
"So, you should risk it. Sweetie, both of you messes your relationships with other people, but for the two of you, you work like magic!"
"What if she doesn't see the way I see her?"
"What if she feels the same?" That question made me mute.
"See? You won't know until you risk and try it. I know that you both would work out perfectly cause you're scared to lose each other. You would do everything to not lose each other." Julia said and it made me think of the hundreds of 'what ifs' between me and Y/N.
