BACK TO TOWN 2

*Y/N's POV

~THE FOLLOWING MORNING~

Glen, Dale, Judge, and I eat breakfast at the diner. Then, we saw Hank go beside me and face his family.

"No one bothered to tell me?" Hank told his family as I finished my breakfast. "Can I get a coffee?" Hank told the waitress as he sat beside me.

"Let's go." The Judge said and he stood. He walked out with Dale following his tail. 

"Y/N?" Glen asked me.

"Go ahead, I'll follow." I said. He nodded and walked with his father. I heard Hank sigh and I looked at him.

"Plate him up." I told the waitress and she nodded her head. 

"Look at what he did." Hank said as he pointed at Judge.

"Hank..." 

"What?" He said with a bit irritating tone.

"Eat up." I said as I saw the plate was brought in front of him. 

"You shouldn't stay and watch me eat." He said as he grabbed his fork and ate.

"If I left, you wouldn't touch your food, am I right?" I raised my eyebrow at him and saw him smirking.

"You still know me." 

"And you haven't changed even if you say you did." 

"You can still see through me." 

"I do." 

"How are you feeling today?" I asked.

"Just peachy. But, thank you for being here with me." 

"You need someone to lean on, Hank. After what he did to you, I think I feel you on that one." 

"He's an idiot." 

"Don't say that." 

"I can do whatever I want." 

"Hank." 

"Yeah?"

"Stop." 

"Fine." 

~AT THE FUNERAL~

As the priest did his preaching to Mrs. Palmer, I looked at Hank beside me and saw him trying to conceal his emotions from everybody. Wearing his glasses so his eyes not be seen by everybody. As I looked at the priest, I squeezed his hand slightly. After the ceremony, everybody walked away. I saw Glen put his arm around his wife as she tried to console Glen. I looked at Hank and saw him look at me. Then, he pull me into a tight hug. I hugged him back and heard his sniffles. 

"Let's go?" I asked him and he nodded his head. I started to walk but he held my hand and he intertwined our hands together. He walked in front of us, leading me to my car.

"Can I come with you?" He asked.

"Nope. You have to bond with your brothers. I just have a trial to finish. I'm gonna have the verdict today and I can't miss that." I said.

"I know. Can you come to the house after?" 

"I will." I said as I caress his cheek. He kissed my forehead and he opened the door for me. I went in and look at him. 

"Be good to your brothers." I said. 

"I try." He said as he backed away at the car.
