~THE FOLLOWING DAY~

I woke up from my wonderful slumber. I turned behind and saw no sign of Nathan.

"Nathan?" I called out as I sat and heard no response. I stood and fixed the side of my bed. I left the room while tying a messy bun to my hair. I walked down the stairs and saw Nathan, focused on typing on his laptop, at his dining table. His eyeglasses are making him look so hot and his focused face looks.

"Good morning." I said as I walked towards him. He looked up from the laptop and smiled big as he saw me walking near him.

"Good morning, my love." I learned to give his lips a peck and smiled at each other as he let me take a seat on his lap. With my legs on his sides, I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him morning kisses.

"Why'd you leave me alone?" I asked as I kissed his cheek and down his neck. He moaned at the feeling of my lips on his neck. He began rubbing my back and the other hand went down my leg and started squeezing and caressing.

"I had to finish this work while you're asleep so that you have me all to yourself this weekend." He said and moaned at the end as I bit on his weak spot.

"Love?" He called out since I didn't respond.

"Hmm..." I only hummed as I went to kiss him on the lips. He responded and broke it.

"I'm almost done with work, why don't you freshen up and eat your breakfast? And then we can continue this later." He said.

"Okay." I smiled and pecked his lips before I walked to the kitchen. "Have you eaten anything?" I asked him as I looked through his fridge.

"Just coffee." I gasped and looked back at him.

"Mr. Gardner, since what time were you up?" I asked him as I leaned on the doorframe of the kitchen and crossed my arms at him.

"Since 7:30." I looked at the wall clock and saw it was 11:18 AM.

"I'll cook lunch. You need to eat proper food. No more coffee for you, drink water instead." I walked back to the kitchen and prepared the ingredients for a Carbonara and shrimp. While I was waiting for the water to boil, I began cutting the ingredients I needed for the sauce. When the water boiled, I put the pasta inside and stirred. I began cooking the pasta sauce as well. While I cooked the pasta and the sauce, I felt eyes staring at me. I turned around and saw Nathan leaning on the doorframe, with his arms crossed on his chest and smiling at me.

"What are you staring at, mister?" I asked as I turned my focus on the sauce.

"You." He casually said.

"Which made you smile?" I asked.

"Of course." Then, I felt him wrap his arms around my waist and he lay his chin on my shoulder, watching me cook our lunch.

"You know what I'm thinking?" He asked softly.

"What?" I asked.

"I can see you cooking for me like this in the future. I'm gonna marry you someday." He admitted and I gasped.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yes." He said and he kissed my cheek. As I continued cooking, I couldn't help but smile at what he told me. After I was done cooking, he laid out a plate for us and I served us pasta on it. He brought the plate to the table and we both ate.

"Nathan, can I ask you something?" I asked.

"Yeah, sure."

"What made you say those things a while ago?"

"What? That I'm going to marry you someday?"

"Yes." I said as I stopped eating and looked at him in all seriousness.

"I never had a girlfriend who would look after me. Who is worried about what I eat, what I drink, what I do, and even my job? They don't care about me as long as they have things that they want. They only love me for money, but not you. I saw how you want us to work hard in our relationship, you want us to love each other for who we truly are. And with you working your cute ass in my kitchen, damn! I had a vision in my mind that you are there, cooking for me and our little kids." He said and chuckled as I smiled big with tears clouding my eyes.

"Goddamit." He said as he saw tears fall down my eyes. I wiped it dry while he sat beside me and held my face in his as he wiped the tears that kept falling.

"I hope these are happy tears." He said.

"They are." I said as I laughed.

"Is it me or is it too early for me to ask you to marry me? I know you still have a future ahead of you. I mean you're graduating in my school, going on to college, graduating college, and having your first job. But I want to let you know that I love you, more than I love myself. And I want you to know that I want to marry you." I kissed his lips and held his cheeks.

"I guess we're too early for marriage." I began and we laughed.

"I know." He said.

"But, I would also like you to know that even if what you said is a proposal or not, I want to marry you too." I said. He smiled big and chuckled.

"If that's what's happening, then if I really propose to you in the future, it will put an official term on our relationship. Since I knew you'd say yes to me." He said it too proudly and I laughed at him.

"If I'm selfish enough, I would want to ask you to marry me today at the courthouse instead." He said and I gasped.

"It's also not a bad idea, but I wanted to finish college before you officially marry me." I said and he nodded.

"Now, don't cry." He said as he wiped my tears dry and went back to his seat, which was in front of me. "I promised you that we'll continue what was stopped."

"And now, he's back to being a flirt." I rolled my eyes as I continued eating and he laughed.
