*Y/N

It was time for Mary and John to go. I bid farewell to them and locked the door. Me and Gladstone were in the living area when we heard a sound in the room upstairs. I grabbed the gun from the drawer and signed Gladstone to be quiet. I silently went up and checked John and Mary's room and when I opened the door, there was nothing suspicious. Just then, I heard another sound coming from my bedroom.

"What the hell?" I said as I whispered. I began to slowly creep near my door. I held the gun near me as I held the handle in my hand. I opened the door with a rush and pointed the gun. I gasped at what I saw, standing in the middle of the room and facing me.

All the emotions I've felt this past week, all came back through me. Tears clouded my eyes, my thoughts began to ramble, and the questions that were still left unanswered will be answered by today--- in front of me.

"I--- I---How?? I--I---I thought you're---dead..." I said as tears began to fall on my cheeks.

"Mycroft's device helped me a lot." Sherlock said while walking slowly towards me.

"It was you! That postman was you?!" He shrugged his shoulders with his lips tight in a fine line.

"How are you, my love?" He asked as he smiled. I placed the gun on the table beside the door and ran towards him, engulfing him in a tight hug.

"Don't you dare do that again!" I said as I sobbed his his shoulders. He hugged me back and caressed my back. He placed a kiss on my neck as I continued to sob.

"Just like what I promised you, I'll protect you." He said as I broke the hug.

"But it cost you your life doing that." I told him as he wiped my tears away as he held my face in his hands.

"I protected you from your Father and his henchmen, especially Moran."

"What do you mean?"

~LAST NIGHT~

I saw my brother Mycroft and Carruthers ride away from John's flat. As I was looking at their flat, I saw a man who caught my eye, who was holding a cane and looking over at the flat. He turned to the alleyway at the corner and I began following, smelling like trouble. As I peeked at the wall of the alleyway, I saw it was Moran trying to set up his rifle. I got a stone near my foot and threw it at him. As soon as he got hit on the head and was trying to shake his head from the impact, I went to him and punched him in the face, punched his stomach, dodged his punch toward my face, grabbed his arm, and twisted it until he lay on the ground, groaning from the impact.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I kneeled in front of him.

"To finish the professor's job." He said while he gritted his teeth.

"Ah. I remembered. No loose end. Don't worry, I promised him to protect his daughter and I am doing that."

"Too late, 'cause I'm here."

"Am I? After everything you've done to hurt my love, I'm sure to kill you now." I said. We both began fighting but it only ended with him running. I followed him and as soon as we reached the river, he put out his gun and was about to shoot me when I acted fast, him caught in a trance is the perfect way for me to grab his gun, pointed it at himself and he fired the pistol, ending him having a gunshot wound at his chest, exiting on his lungs and grazing a nerve of his heart, exiting the bullet from his back. I let go of him and he suddenly fell into the water.
