*Y/N

These past few months were the happiest I've been, despite all the headaches from court trials, but with Lauren and Hank with me, I can say that I finally found my happiness. Whenever Hank visits me in Indiana, he makes sure that Lauren comes. They stay at my home and Hank only tries to visit his old home whenever he wants since it brings so much memory. I tried to convince Hank to visit his father, but he still wasn't sure if Judge would welcome him.

Today I received news from Hank that Dickham filed for a Compassionate Release. Hank was on the way to bring his dad out. Lauren stayed in Chicago because of school and stayed with Lisa's parents. Hank dropped me at the courthouse for my final trial of the case I'm handling, as he borrowed my car to pick up his dad.

After the trial, I immediately walked out of the courthouse when I heard a voice franticly calling me.

"Y/N! Y/N!!" I looked in the direction of the voice and saw Glen running up the stairs.

"Hey, Glen. Why are you running? What's wrong?" I asked as he approached me.

"Hank called me and he brought Dad to the hospital."

"What?! Let's go!" I said as we both ran to his car and he immediately drove us to the hospital. When we reached the hospital, me and Glen ran in the direction of the Judge's room. When we reached the place, I saw Hank sitting on the chair outside the room with his hands on his head.

"Hank!" Glen called. Hank stood and went in front of Glen. Hank shakes his head in grief. I put my hand on my mouth in shock as I saw two brothers hug each other. I heard some running footsteps behind me and saw Amy with Dale. Dale walked to the two hugging brothers. The two broke the hug and looked at their younger brother.

"Where's Dad?" Dale asked.

"He--he's um..." Glen stuttered and Hank patted Glen's shoulder. He then walked to Dale and brought him inside the room, where Judge is. Amy went to Glen and comforted his husband. I went near the door and looked through the door's window and saw Dale began sobbing into his father's body while Hank rubbed his back. I kept looking over at Hank and making sure that he is okay with what is happening.

After awhile, Hank pulled Dale outside and he gave Dale money to buy something to drink for him. As Dale went to the vending machine, I hugged Hank to me and he sobbed uncontrollably.

"I'm here, Hank. I won't leave you." I kept whisperings comforting words to him which made him calm and stopped from sobbing. I saw him kissed my forehead as he wrapped his arms around my waist and just held me closer to him.

"Let's get everything that needs to be done." I told him and he nodded his head. Then, I led him to the nurse's station to sign the papers that is needed for the body's transportation to the morgue and the settlement for the hospital consumption of Judge.

~LATER IN THE EVENING~

I was in-charge of letting the people of Carlinville know regarding Judge Palmer's death. While the two brothers, Glen and Hank, are the ones in-charge of completing the remaining paper requirements and the cemetery stuff. I also called Lauren's grandparents to let them know about my sudden booking of flight to Lauren tonight. Which was an hour ago. I am now on the way to pick up Lauren at the airport. As soon as I reached her gate, I saw a lot of people coming out. Then, I saw Lauren came out.

"Mommy!" She said as she went near me. I hugged her tightly to me and said my thanks to the flight attendant.

"Are you ready to see Grandpa Palmer one last time?" I asked her and she nodded sadly.
