ch.27: Aria's surgery

Its the day of Aria's surgery, just Mona, Ava, Amanda, Claire, Savannah, Mike, Ella, Byron, and Leona all in the private waiting room

Ava is sitting beside Mona on her right side and Amanda is sitting on the left side Claire and Savannah are sitting in front of them, Mona is holding up Aria's wedding ring staring at it

'You know in the whole 23 years of our marriage, not counting going to the bathroom, taking a shower, putting lotion on her hands or other medical stuff, Aria has never taken off her wedding ring not even when we had fights like some people do they take it off throw it somewhere or to their partners, but not Aria' Mona says, she starts crying

'Oh my god what am I doing without her' Mona says, she puts her head on Ava's shoulder and she kisses her on the head, Leona puts her hand over her heart

The surgery is supposed to take two hours but the preparation takes several hours people can get up and move around within two to six hours after the surgery, however movement can be restricted for several days and the surgeon will mostly recommend avoidance of any vigorous exercise or strenuous activity for at least two to three days

Mona lifts up her head up and wipes her tears away

'Anyways Amanda let me see your engagement ring, lets see if my eldest daughter has good taste too' Mona says

'And she's back' Savannah says, they laugh, Amanda shows her the ring and Mona looks at it

'Whoa!' Mona says, she looks at Savannah

'You do have good taste' Mona says, Savannah smiles

'Thanks' Savannah says

'Ava can you hand me my purse please?' Mona asks, Ava gets her purse and hands it to her, Mona gets out their wedding album

'You bought your guys wedding album with you?' Claire asks

'Only when life throws me a curve ball like today' Mona says, she opens the album

'Wow you guys look beautiful' Ava says, Mona smiles

'Aria told me that at least 100 times that day and everyday after that' Mona says

'Every morning, afternoon, and even' Claire says, Savannah starts laughing everybody looks at her

'I remember one time you was there Claire when we were little we was playing together the bitch from Hell Isabella punish me for something I didn't do' Savannah says

'Oh God I remember this story' Claire says

'Aria was there and she knew that I didn't do anything wrong, so mama bear came out' Savannah says

'The earrings came off and the fake ass nails from Isabella' Claire says

'She and Isabella got into this heated argument about it and Isabella said something about Mona that made Aria more mad and slap Isabella across the face with enough force for Isabella to fall down into the dirt face first' Savannah says, they start laughing

'What did she say about me to make your guys mom to slap her she's usually is the calm one and I'm the one with the temper' Mona says

'I think that she said go back to nut that was in radley, something like that' Savannah says

'Yeah, i had to stop you from throwing a tea cup at her head' Claire says

'I can see that' Ava says

'Good thing I always have your guys bail money in my bra' Amanda says

'Smart idea' Claire says

'Where did you learn that from?' Ava asks, everybody points to Mona

'Man I gotta start doing that' Ava says, they laugh, then Aria's surgeon walks in and Mona gets up so does everybody else

'Well the surgery went well, she's in recovery right about to wake up any moment, i would say that only one at a time but knowing your family like I do, all of you follow me please' Mr. Miller says, he smiles

They walk in Aria's room she's still asleep

'Just let me know when she wakes up' Dr. Miller says

'Well due Dr. Miller' Ella says, everybody sits down around Aria

'The hard part is over with for me' Mona says

'You was worried about her dying on the table again, wasn't you?' Ella asks

'Yeah' Mona whispers

'What do you mean again?' Claire asks, everybody looks at Mona

'I was in a car accident in college and I had collapsed lung i died once on the table' Aria says, she opens her eyes

'I'll get the doctor' Mike says, he leaves, everybody else walks up to her

'Ring please babe' Aria says, Mona hands her ring back to her and she puts it back on

'That's better' Aria says, she looks at her ring and smiles, Mona kisses her on her forehead, then Doctor Miller walks in

'Ah Aria you're up, told you easy as pie, i told you about the recovery time the other day we're going to see if you can get up and walk around later on and then go from there' doctor Miller says

'Sounds good' Aria says

'Ok get some rest and I'll check on you later on' Doctor Miller says, he smiles

'Ok' Aria says

'She might fall asleep a lot because the drugs are still inside of her and will take time to ware off' Doctor Miller says

'Got it, thank you Doctor Miller' Mona says

'You're welcome' doctor Miller says, he leaves and Aria falls asleep
