Ch. 29: Ava's secret

Savannah and Amanda got back from their honeymoon a couple of weeks ago ever since then Ava has been acting weird like leaving for strange reasons so one day Claire follows her she hides where she can't be seen at she follows Ava to this café Claire stands behind a building and Ava meets up with Savannah which confuses Claire they hug and kisses each other on the cheeks Claire sees them sit down and Ava opens a book then it clicks Savannah is tutoring Ava, and Ava doesn't want Claire to know because Claire might think that Ava is a failure, which Claire doesn't think like that, so Claire leaves

Claire gets to Amanda's and Savannah's dorm and knocks on the door Amanda opens the door

'Hey' Amanda says

'Hey, I need to talk to you' Claire says

'Ok come in' Amanda says

'Thanks' Claire says, she walks in

'You're welcome' Amanda says, she shuts the door and locks it

'What's up?' Amanda asks, se walks up to Claire

'Do you know that Savannah is tutoring Ava?' Claire asks

'Yeah, Sava told me, Ava didn't tell you?' Amanda asks

'Neither one of them did' Claire says, she sits doesn't on the couch

'Ok why is it a big deal about About Ava being tutor by your sister?' Amanda asks, she sits down beside her

'I don't have a problem with Sava tutoring Ava, what bothers me is that they didn't tell me and I know the reason, and the reason is if I knew about it I would think that Ava is failure which I don't, Ava thinks I am judgemental about it, ok so you're getting tutor by my sister who's a wizard at studying, so why would I be judgemental about Ava getting a little bit of help, its normal to ask people for help with tutoring' Claire says

'I agree with you on all those things but I think that you and Ava needs to talk about this' Amanda says, Claire smiles

'Yeah, you're right, I'm going to head back to our dorm' Claire says

'Sounds good' Amanda says

'Thanks for letting me rant' Claire says

'Its fine because I let Sava rant' Amanda says, Claire chuckles

'Alright I'll talk to you later' Claire says, she gets up

'I'll be here like always' Amanda says, Claire chuckles and leaves

Later that night Ava walks in the front door shuts the door and locks it, Claire is sitting on the couch watching TV

'Hey love' Ava says

'Hey' Claire says

'You ok?' Ava asks, she walks up being her and wraps her arms around Claire's neck

'Um let's just say I know about Sava tutoring you, for whatever subject I don't know but what I don't understand is that why didn't you tell me about it Sava told Amanda about it, so why was I your wife left in the dark about this I'm not going to judge you for getting tutor sessions from Sava some times I need a little bit of help too and I know why you probably didn't tell me because you think that I would think that you would be a failure which I don't' Claire says, Ava stands up and walks up to the counter, Claire turns to look at her

'I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about Sava tutoring me, it's just not about what you just said, it's also because in the summer time after the eighth grade going into the ninth grade you said quote 'I wouldn't be smart if I didn't study because high school won't pass you if you fail the grade', end quote' Ava says, Claire looks at her in shock and gets up she walks up to her

'Ava I may not remember saying that and I'm sorry that I did, I guess I was just making you realized that high school won't pass you if you don't pass the grade, I guess I was trying to make you see the reality and it didn't come out right, nothing that I say comes out right' Claire says, in a sad voice

Claire sits back on the couch Ava turns around and looks at her she sees that Claire wipes her tears away, Ava walks up to her and sits down beside her

'Ok yes that's true, you do say things that come out the wrong way but even it doesn't I still understand what you mean' Ava says, Claire smiles

'I just can't believe that I said that to you' Claire says, Ava wipes Claire's tears away

'Well then again that was the old Claire and she had a ego of the size of Texas' Ava says, Claire laughs

'Yeah that's true I did, are we good now?' Claire asks, Ava looks at her and smiles

'Yeah we are, I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about it' Ava says, Claire smiles and holds her hand

'it's fine, just next time tell me what's going on with you because I'm your wife and best friend tat you can tell anything to without judging you' Claire says, Ava smiles

'I'll keep that in mind' Ava says, Claire smiles

'Good, Anyways how's the tutoring going so far?' Claire asks

'Well Sava help me from D plus to a C plus so we're getting there, I think I'll do better now since you know what's going on now, like I told Alison at Sava's and Amanda's wedding I'm not best under pressure like you are especially with keeping a secret' Ava says

'Hey don't cut yourself short ok, you did amazing job keeping that secret from our parents about Jeremy and Andrew crap' Claire says

'Honestly, I'm surprised that I did keep that secret for that long' Ava says

Actually there's another secret that you kept from me until I did it' Claire says

'Oh about knowing when you was going to propose without you knowing that I know about it' Ava says

'Yeah' Claire says

'Yeah I guess I did keep that one pretty good too, I guess I'm good under pressure depending on the secret' Ava says

'Like keeping Sava from seeing Amanda's wedding dress' Claire says

'That was easy because Sava didn't care about the dress like Amanda' Ava says

'Like you just said depending on the secret you're good under pressure' Claire says

'Yup that's true' Ava says

'Come here, you look tense still' Claire says, Ava sits back in Claire's arms and they cuddle while they watch TV

'I love you' Ava says, Claire smiles

'I love you too' Claire says, she kisses her on the head and Ava smiles
