Sylvia didn't know what to do, if he was angry with her calling his phone constantly would just piss him off, but she really wanted to tell him, she didn't want to make him more angry though. So she sat and waited until almost midnight, but she couldn't wait any longer. 'I'll go find him and tell him I love him, I can't wait any longer.' She thought as she grabbed her keys and hopped in her car. She sped off in the direction she saw him leave.
As she was rushing off she thought to herself, 'Ok, when I find him what am I gonna tell him? He didn't say he loves me, what if he rejects me, what if he says he isn't ready for another relationship, the cashier did say he may not know that he loves me.' She laughed a little, 'That's him alright, he's so clueless, but that's what's so cute about him isn't it. I'm actually happy that girl Aurora made him feel like shit, I got a chance to meet him, and being around him just has a way of making me happy, I really don't know what I would do if anything ever happened to him, but like he said, he's undeadable right, I'll get carrot cake and chocolates when we go back home.' She beamed.
At that exact moment she passed the special picnic place and saw all the commotion. 'Hmmm, what're all those fire trucks and officers doing there? And there's also an ambulance, I wonder if anyone is damaged, I really hope it isn't serious, Ace and I need to have our first date there tomorrow at sunset, it'll be cute, we'll rewrite his bad memory with a really good one, and every time he remembers the sunset he'll remember me and our first date, it'll be perfect." She thought, that was until she noticed a bumper next to the bench.
'Why does that look so familiar?' she wondered, 'Where have I seen that before, I guess I'll go out and see what's the matter, not like Ace is going anywhere.'
She existed her car and made her way to the edge of the cliff where all the commotion was while observing everything, 'Hmmm, I could've sworn I've seen that purple bumper before.' She just shrugged it off, 'I the past four months I have seen alot of cars though, anyhow, looks like it was another accident due to speeding.' She saw Richard's car and continued, 'Yep, that car was speeding and lost control and ran into this one, well that's what they get for spee.' She stopped as she saw the firefighters pulling a bloody and burnt body up in a stretcher.
"Nooo, nooo!" She screamed as she ran over, she knew where she knew that bumper from now.
As the rested the body down she tried to reach over to him but the officers grabbed her and held her back, "Ma'am, please stand back."
She dropped to her knees crying, "But, but I know him."
"Oh." the officers looked at eachother and motioned for a few of them to take her away and distract her, "Well, if you would come over here for a moment." They helped her up and moved her to the patrol car as she was struggling to run to Ace's side.
The remaining officers walked over to his body and after doing their own observation looked at eachother and began their disscussion;
The first officer started, "He doesn't look like he's gonna make it, I mean he's lost alot of blood."
"Yep, although the burns aren't as bad as they look, according to the firefighters it looks like he punched the glass and broke it to cut his seat belt and just before the car hit the rocks and exploded, he jumped out." The second officer added.
The third officer commented, "Well the firefighters said he did lose a substantial amount of blood though, and his pulse is really weak. In my opinion, I honestly don't think he'll make it, now who wants to break it to his friends over there?"
The first officer added, "Don't count him out yet, just tell her he may not make it since he not only suffered head trauma, but has lost a substantial amount of blood." He gave the responsibility of passing on that message to the second officer as the first officer and the third went over to the firefighters and the ambulance to get their diagnosis.
