Chapter 36: Happy Nineteenth Birthday Aurora

Ace finished up washing the dishes, "Ok Syl, I'm done, wanna dig through those two boxes in my room now?"

"Yes." As she rushed pass him into his room she giggled, "Maybe I'll find cute baby pictures of you."

Ace sat down and pulled one box towards him, "Well I guess you'll be disappointed, since I was an ugly baby."

Sylvia threw a plastic container at him, "Stop saying dumb things Ace, you're not ugly."

"Well if I'm not ugly, if you keep throwing things at my face I will be now."

The plastic container She threw at him had opened and a lot of things flew out, so she started sorting through them, she found a peculiar bill, so she turned to Ace, "Hey, did you ever buy a size six custom promise ring?"

But when she turned to him he had a small cardboard box in his hand, and when he opened it there was a black bracelet, a silver chain, a picture of a girl with purple and blue cotton candy like hair on a green background and a twenty dollar bill.

So she leaned in closer to look at the twenty dollar bill, "Is that real? Didn't they phase those out since 2022? When they started using those programmed cards as cash?"

"Yes to all of those."

"So then why do you have that?"

"What do you mean Syl?"

"Why do you still have a real twenty dollar bill? I understand it's only twenty dollars, but why still keep it till now?" Before Ace could reply, "You know, maybe if you post it up online, a bill collector just may buy it for some big bucks. Because I don't think anyone kept twenties when they were phased out, I think you have the last one."

"I just might, but I won't do that, this twenty dollar bill is important to me." Ace looked at the bill with a lingering pain, "I got this from Aurora on our first and last real date when I was eighteen so yeah."

Ace just started staring blankly into space after that, so Sylvia continued searching for any recent memories or anything from within the last three years. Then she realized what Ace had just said, "Wait what did you-"

At the same time asked her, "- Hey Syl?"

"Yeah Ace?"

"What's the date today?"

Sylvia stopped and thought for a moment, "It's the twenty-third of Julliet."

"It is isn't it?" Ace uttered as he got up and left the room.

Sylvia was going to follow him, but when he got up there was a folder next to him. It seemed like it fell out of the plastic container she threw at him, so Sylvia opened it, but when she did a book and lots of single sheets of paper fell out. Upon further observation of the sheets of paper she saw they had stuff written on them, so she began reading them in hopes of them having something to help Ace regain his memory;

The first note was a short one, [15/2/2020. 01/04/2020 four a.m.]

Then the second, [Aurora's favorite foods: Egg fried rice, squid, pepper shrimp and chunky vegetables. Aurora's favorite drink: Caramel Frappuccino with extra caramel. Aurora's favorite snacks: Carrot cake or Triple Chocolate Fudge cake.]

Then the third, [Aurora's finger sizes: Ring finger; Six, Middle finger; Seven, Pointer finger; Eight.]

[Aurora's birth stone; Ruby.]

[Aurora's shoe size; Seven to eight]

[Fruits Aurora like; Green apples, Mango, Kiwi, Pineapple, Ripe bananas, Ripe silk fig, Pommecythere.]
