It all had started the moment Ace became unconscious after the car crash nine months ago.
'So that's what it was, I fell in love again didn't I, and I made her cry too, I really am the worst, well I guess my wish came through, I'm gonna die, so you can move on just like Aurora did Syl, I mean everyone's replaceable right.' He turned as his car fell off the edge and saw the rocks below, well it all happened so fast, I wonder if I'll experience that seven second thing Syl was talking about earlier, it'd be fun to see her one last time. Well I guess this is the end, Bye Aurora, and Bye Syl, I fell in love with you again.' He closed his eyes just before his car crashed into to rocks and exploded.
"Hmmm?" He opened his eyes, and in the corner of the pitch black room, he saw a little child curled up. As he etched closer to the child, he heard a voice, as Ace looked around, he realized it was coming from the child, it whispered, "When is the ball of sunshine coming back? We're scared here, we're alone in the dark, and its cold and scary."
"Hey kid, where are we, who are you? And what ball of sunshine?"
"You don't remember Ace? You don't remember me or our ball of sunshine?"
"I don't know what you're talking about, but how about telling me where we are will you."
The child wiped his tears away and got up and looked at Ace in a perplexed manner, "You really don't know where you are?"
"Nope, I just remember getting in a car crash and then I closed my eyes and when I reopened them I was here. Although it happened really quickly." Ace began scratching his head in contemplation, "It felt as though the moment I closed my eyes I opened them again, real freaky shit. So little boy, where am I?"
"Well, I guess you can say that is what happened Ace."
"Hmmm." Ace tried walking around the room. "Why's it so dark in here, wherever we are that is. And wait, how do you know my name?"
"You ask alot of questions you know that Ace."
A bright like suddenly came shining from the dark. "Hey, what's that light." Ace looked directly at it in a perplexed way. "Wait, is it just me or is that light getting closer to us?" Ace stuck his out towards the light, "Yep, it is getting closer." He looked around for the little child but he couldn't find him anywhere, "Hey kid, kid where are you, what's happening."
The little boy apperead beside him, "I have a name now you know. It's Umi. And to answer you question of what we're doing, we're remembering."
"Remembering, what do you mean by that?"
"You'll see." Umi dissapeard and Ace found himself in a small house sitting on the couch next to a little child crying. "What's with my luck and crying children, crying is so damn annoying. And what's with this place, it's so empty." As Ace was wondering what was going on the child raised his head, "Wait, why does he look like me? Hey Umi, what's going on here?"
"You're remembering Ace."
"Remembering?" He looked around and noticed he recognized this house. He tried figuring out where he knew this place from. And then he remembered, this was his house when he was a child. But he didn't remember the scene unfolding before him. He didn't look like more than four years to himself.
A voice came from infront of him, "Ace you're such an ungrateful and annoying child. You're so misbehaved." It was his mother argueing with him as usual.
"I wish I never had you, if I didnt have you I wouldn't have to still be with your father. Stay for the child they said, it isn't good for the child to be in a split home." She turned to face him, "Well the child is a demon that misbehaves and is useless, only making messes for me to clean. I swear I should just kill you. You never do what I say." His mother stopped washing her dishes and grabbed a belt from on the couch and began beating him, "All that annoying crying, I'll give you something to cry for tonight."
