It's the weekend. Thank God. Shayne is visiting his grandparents in Klebben this weekend, so we won't see each other. Today, Jade is coming over so I can assist her in planning out this Halloween party she wants to plan. I'm kind of stoked about it. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.

As I'm sitting on the couch, my mother comes into the living room, adjusting her earrings and looking all gussied up. "Whoa...where are you going?" I asked. "Oh! Uh...nowhere special." I raised a brow. "Mom...it's Saturday. I think you're going somewhere important all dressed up like that." She was wearing jeans, a sweatshirt and brown leather boots that came up to her knees. "Oh this? It's nothing." She said, giving a sheepish smile. I just grinned, turning back to the television. "Whatever you say, mom." Just then, there was a knock at the door. "Expecting your little blond haired beau today?" My mother asked, focusing on herself in the mirror near the door. I just shook my head. "Its only Jade." I said. I got up and moved to the door. I opened it and Jade was standing on the other side.

She was dressed in skinny jeans and a tube top with suspenders. She was wearing a sweater over the top. "The 80's called. They want their outfit back." I said. "Ha ha. When are you going to stop ripping on me for dressing like this?" She asked, welcoming herself into my house. "Besides, I'm sure your mom dressed like this at one point." She teased, pulling off the sweater. She was so thin, the suspenders couldn't be cinched anymore and slouched a little at her midsection. She turned around, placing the sweater over the chair and I noticed the large tattoo running down her backside. "What's that one?" I asked. "That's the mark of the beast. The one that they fear." She said. I raised my brow. "It's a DOOM reference." She said, grinning. "Well, I'll expect to be educated on that subject later." Just then, my mother came around the corner from the bathroom. "Good lord, child. See Gillian? Why can't you dress more like that?" "My point exactly." Jade said. I just started laughing. "I prefer the 90's mom look." I said. Jade and my mother just rolled their eyes. "Anyways, I've gotta go. There's food in the fridge and soda too if you get hungry. And I would recommend you eat." My mom said, pointing to Jade. "I never stop eating, Ms. Christian." She said. My mother gave me a kiss before she left the house. "Eat something more than candy and a soda, Ms. Tondre!" She shouted from the front door.

"Where's she going?" Jade asked from the kitchen. "No idea. She wouldn't tell me. I can only assume on a date with Frankie." "The diner owner?" "Yeah, they've apparently got a sweet spot for each other." I said. "Well that's the cutest thing I've heard all day." Jade said, coming back with a soda. She sat down on the couch with me. "So explain to me a little more about this party you're hoping to throw." I said. Her long black fingernails wrapped around the can, lifting it to her mouth after popping it open.

"Get your shit and get out of my hotel room." Javi said to the woman who was asleep in his bed. He had not taken the woman to bed purposely or had sex with her. She happened to be drunk downstairs in the lobby. He had seen her previously around the hotel a few days before and assumed she was staying there. When the hotel staff started to kick her out for being drunk, he intervened and said she was his responsibility. He took her back to his room, grumbling about it the entire way. She passed out in his bed. Javi slept in the chair by the window, it was more comfortable anyways. But this afternoon, he needed her gone because he was going to board a plane back to LA today. He walked over to her, grabbing her by the bottom of her foot and giving it a good squeeze. She grumbled and kicked his hand away. "Get up!" He snarled, pinching the bottom of her foot. She yelped, jumping awake. She scurried up the bed, grabbing the sheets. "Who the fuck are you and what are you doing in my room?" She snapped. Javi raised a brow. "Listen here, sweetheart...this is my room. Get your shit and get out." He said, pointing to the door. Through her throbbing hangover, the woman looked around the room and realized it was not hers.
