"What do you want, Shayne?" Jade asked as he was looming over her in the library. "I need your help." He said. She scoffed, looking up from the book she was reading. "I'm a little busy at the moment." She said. "I know but...please?" He said, hooking his finger at the top of the book and tugging it down. He pouted. She sighed. "What is it?" She asked. Shayne was practically lying on the table. "It's about Gill." Jade let out an exasperated groan. "Jesus Christ Shayne, again? You're going to scare the girl off if you can't get your head on straight." "That's the problem! I want to tell her I love her...but I don't think the feelings will be reciprocated." He said. One of the other students was studying and looked over with an agitated look on her face. "Shh!" She said, loudly. "Blow it out your ass." Jade snapped. The girl slammed her book shut and got up and left.

"Exactly what is it that you need help with?" Jade asked, grabbing her book and cruising through the aisles of shelves. She was looking in the horror section like usual. "Well, how am I supposed to do this?" He asked. "Shayne, I never say the L-word to anyone. What makes you think I know anything about this?" "You said it to Javi..." Shayne muttered. "Well, that was different." Jade said. "Just give me some kind of advice." Shayne whined. "Look, Gill is a simple girl. You won't need an elaborate candle lit dinner to bring up the fact that you love her." Jade reached up, trying to put the book back in place. "But the whole point is..." Shayne eyes wandered across to her chest, causing him to lose focus. She slipped the book into its place. "The point?" She repeated. "I uhh...I forgot my point." He said, his eyes darting away. "Like I said, be romantic all you want. That's not what Gill wants. She loves you, it's obvious. You've just gotta find a way to bring it up to her." Jade said. "And Shayne?" "Uh huh?" He said. "Stop staring at my tits." She said, pushing around him.

"Pinned! That's two, Haas!" Coach B shouted. Damien reached up, tearing the Velcro strap away from securing his chin. "That's bullshit! Damien's a head taller than everyone else wrestling." The opponent screamed. "We're in the same weight class you little shit." "Alright, everyone just calm down." Joe said, stepping in. "Obviously, Damien is a little more suited for taller people. But unless we have an influx of taller people you'll be stuck wrestling with him." Coach said. "Besides, Damien's the one who's going to lead us to the championship this year if he keeps it up." Joe said. "So go get showered up and stop your bitching." He snapped. The wrestlers just started to pull their gear off and head to the locker rooms. "Damien!" Caylie squealed. "Hey, you! Did you get the part?" He asked, scooping her up. "Don't you know it! Plus, they want me to play the lead in My Fair Lady at the end of the school year." "That's awesome, babe!" Damien said, beaming with happiness. "What about you?" She asked. "Well, I've been doing better and better with wrestling. Coach thinks I'll make state and maybe even nationals." "That's so wonderful. We should go celebrate tonight." Caylie said.

Damien made a noise using his tongue against his teeth. "I'd love to, babe. But I've gotta fill out some scholarships tonight and see if I have a chance of getting into the university I want." He said. "Oh...well, yeah. You should probably be doing that." Caylie said, a little bit of disheartenment tugging at her voice. "But how about Saturday?" He asked. "I can't. Gill wants for Jade and I to go shopping with her. We've been planning it since the start of the month." Caylie said. "Well, we just spend time together when we have it." He said, leaning down and kissing her on the cheek. "I've gotta go shower. Wait for me here." He said. "Sure." Caylie's happy mood had faded. A month or so ago, she wanted Damien to get serious about college. Now that he was, she felt a little left out. Her spot at Michigan State had been secured already. She didn't need any further assistance. But...in the long run, it was a good thing. Damien's parents had their hands tied with the rest of his little siblings. Surely Damien could handle going to school on his own.

My hand smashed against the volleyball harder than intended and it flew downward striking one of the other players in the face. "Goddamnit, Gill!" She screamed. She reached up clutching her nose, which was already beginning to dribble with blood. "I'm sorry!" I yelled back. The practice ground to a halt as we all rushed over. "What's wrong with you? This is the second time this week! Yesterday, you gave Amelia a black eye!" Hailey snapped. "It's not like I'm doing it on purpose." I bit back. "I think you are! You're just so desperate to show everyone how fuckin' tough you are!" Hailey shoved Amelia towards the other girls. "Show me how fucking tough you think you are then, Demofonte!" She said, bending her elbows and raising her closed fists towards her face. "I'm not going to play this stupid game with you." I grunted, shoving past her.
