After school, I found myself being dragged upstairs by Jade. She was babbling endlessly on about this date with Javi. I don't think I've ever seen her so excited for something. You'd think that this was a guy she'd dreamed about asking her out for such a long time that she was practically fangirling over this man. "Slow down." I laughed. Before she could drag me into the room, I pulled back. "I need to go pee first and then I'll come help you." I said, heading towards the bathroom. "Suit yourself." She said, disappearing into the first room. I rushed to the bathroom to check my phone. Shayne had sent me a couple of texts.

S: Milkshakes at Frankie's tonight?

M: After I finish helping Jade with her date.

S: Idk what's so special about this date. Haven't they gone out before?

I scoffed, my fingers scrambling across the keys to respond as I sat on the toilet.

M: Shayne...she's a girl. Let her have her moment.

S: Well, as long as she's happy, I'm happy.

M: I'll text you when we're done and you can come pick me up. Sound good?

S: I'll be there.

I finished what I was doing in the bathroom and headed towards Jade's bedroom. When I opened the door...let's just say I was a little unprepared. I blinked a couple of times to make sure that I wasn't imagining what I was seeing. It honestly looked like the Candyland board game had vomited in here and someone came in while everything was wet and just doused it with glitter. "You okay?" Jade asked, coming out from the other bathroom. "It's so...so..." "So what?" She asked. "So...pink." I said, looking around. "Well, not everything is the same shade of pink, but I don't mind." The room was massive in size. The bed was in the middle of the room, a pink sheer canopy hanging over it. It was made of Victorian style wood, carved at the headboard and the legs. Absolutely gorgeous.

In the corner was a bookshelf with at least 100 books on it, all different sizes, styles, covers and all by different authors. Shelves were sporadically placed. Funko POPs rested on the shelves but at the center was a McFarland Toys version of DoomGuy dressed as...a unicorn. Paintings hung on the walls near the door, they were all signed 'JB'. The floor was black marble looking tile that seemed to gleam with the lighting. The chandelier hanging above was pink and glittering, but the lights were white. Above the corner on the opposing side of the bed near the window was a sleeping corner with two large bean bags and another canopy. On the bed, there seemed to be an endless wave of stuffies.

"Dragons, huh?" I asked. "Yeah, aren't they so cute?" "How do you sleep in bed? More importantly, how did you get Javi in this bed?" I questioned. "Uh...there's this new thing called I move everything off?" "Even in heat of the moment type stuff?" She just laughed. "Gill, there's always time to make room. Now come on." She said. She grabbed me by the hand and started to drag me towards the open door. "Now where are you—...taking me?" My voice wavered a little as she flicked on the light.

Ever seen a closet as big as your living room? Yeah, me neither. I exhaled a little shakily. "What?" She asked. "This is...this is definitely the biggest closet I've ever seen. Like oh my god!" I shouted. "Oh, calm down. Most of this stuff is getting thrown out anyways. Now help me pick out an outfit."

Javi stood in the bathroom at the mirror. He frowned on looking at his hair. He didn't know what to do with it, really. Of course Jade wouldn't mind if he went for a wild look, but he certainly worried about impressing her. He sighed. He grabbed his phone and sent her a text. "I really like that." I said, taking the dress from her. Jade's phone buzzed, she rushed to answer it.
