(Special Guest Star - Pedro Pascal as Javi)

"I'm just gonna ask her. It's not a big deal. We can go as friends, strictly friends with no feelings involved." Tommy said as he was sitting in the parking lot of the school. His fingers gripped around the steering wheel as he leaned forward against it. "There's no way this is going to work." He muttered to himself.

"We still need to go dress shopping." "I know, I just don't think I can afford it." Caylie and Jade conversed as I was rummaging through my locker looking for my Psychology paper. "Goddamnit!" I shouted. I slammed the locker door angrily. "It's not in there?" Jade asked. "No! I worked all week on that fucking paper and now it's gone." I said. I could feel the tears welling in my eyes. I had worked so hard on the paper. I had gotten all my theories together, my references, my cited sources...everything and then just to lose it. "I swear to God, he's going to fail me now. I'm going to end up working at a gas station for the rest of my life!" I sobbed. "Calm down, I'm sure it's not that serious." Jade assured. Just then Mr. Devon came down the hallway with a piece of paper in his hand. I was certain that the moment we made eye contact, I was going to combust. He walked right up to where I was standing. "Ms. Demofonte, this is one of the best psychology papers I think I have ever read." He said. I looked down and realized he was holding my paper in his hands. "Holy crap! When did you get that?" I asked. "You turned it into me yesterday. And I distinctly remember you telling me that you didn't want to forget to turn it in, so you gave it to me a day before it was due." I burst into laughter. "Thank god I was looking out for myself. I was just going through my locker looking for it." I said. He laughed. "Well, hands down the best paper. I definitely think it deserves an A." He said.

I slammed my locker closed as Mr. Devon walked away. "So now that you have avoided a crisis, what do you think about going dress shopping?" Jade asked. "I don't know. I don't exactly have a date or anything. Seems kinda pointless." I said. "Well, you never know. Someone might come along and randomly ask you. Don't you wanna be prepared?" Caylie said, nudging her elbow against my side. I sighed. "How is your dad doing?" I asked, quick to change the subject. One of the reasons why I wasn't so focused on prom night was because my date was gone. I didn't bow my neck when Jade bought the tickets, mainly because she rarely ever takes no for an answer, but also because I thought I could cut loose. But the closer it gets to the prom, the less I want to attend.

Tommy's knee nervously jumped under the desk. He was leaning against it, gnawing at the flesh of his left thumb. When Gill walked in, he felt his heart jump up into his throat. She looked so pretty. She'd taken on this somber look and he knew it was wrong, but he couldn't help finding it very attractive. I walked down the aisle to find Tommy staring at me. "What are you looking at?" I asked. He cleared his throat. "Nothing. I-I wasn't...staring." I wrinkled my brow. "You're being weird." I pointed out. "I am not." He said sternly. "Alright..." Tommy took a deep sigh before turning back around. "Do you wanna get out of here at lunch time?" He asked me. "Well...I'd like to, but I don't know if I should." I said. "Come on, it'll be fun. And there's something I wanted to talk to you about." Tommy said. I leaned forward. "Is it about Joe?" I asked, lowering my voice. Tommy grinned. "Sort of." He said. "Alright. We'll leave after class then." I said, leaning back in the seat.

"Where the hell are you going?" Jade asked as we were exiting the classroom. "I was just...gonna go up to the office." I lied. Jade raised her brow. "Tommy asked me if I wanted to go get lunch. I didn't wanna say no." "He'll never be able to eat in the cafeteria again after what happened last week." Jade commented. "Well, we're taking it slow right now. He also said he wanted to talk to me about something." I said. "Maybe he'll ask you to prom." Jade said. I laughed. "Yeah, that'll be the day." I turned on my heel and started to walk off from her. Just as I was walking away, Donnie was coming down the hallway. He stopped me. "Can I call you tonight? I have something I wanna share with you." He said in a low voice. "I don't know if I'm gonna have time. The girls wanna go dress shopping." "It'll take ten minutes, I promise." He said.
