"You're late." Iwaizumi glared at Oikawa as soon as the man was in front of him. He had been waiting for almost an hour.

"No i'm not," Oikawa said calmly, not even looking at him, "you're just early."

Iwaizumi bit his tongue to stop himself before he said something he'd regret. Taking deep breaths, he tried to calm himself down.

Crowded airports really brought out the annoyed toddler in him.

He shut his eyes for a moment.

In times like these, he could really use Atsumu's non-stop chatting, at least that would be something familiar. oh, speaking of,

"Why did you book our flights separately than our cowarkers?" He asked.

Oikawa shrugged.

Iwaizumi frowned, "what does that mean?"

Oikawa shrugged again.

Deep

Breaths

Hajime.

"Do you want to go look around the shops?" He then asked Oikawa who had now taken a seat in the waiting area. This was better, he told himself. Even if Oikawa decided he was going to be an even bigger asshole the entire time then Iwaizumi should at least act professional. For his own sake.

Oikawa looked up from his phone and let out a laugh, "are you a child?," he shook his head tauntingly, "sit down."

"Fine. Suit yourself."

Iwaizumi turned around and walked away without a single glance back.

-

Oikawa snorted as soon as Iwaizumi was out of sight. Fuck. This was way too funny. They both knew each other yet Iwaizumi only remembered the parts where Oikawa was a bitch.

He was a bitch.

Oikawa easily admitted that.

He was annoying on purpose and he got off on pissing people off but this was different. He scoffed. That brat. Oikawa didn't need him, he didn't need anyone. All his life he had protected iwaizumi hajime.

Why?

Because his mother asked him to? because he promised Iwaizumi's dead mother at 6 years old that he'd look after him? or was it because Iwaizumi hated him too so it felt like challenge to wear him down? and Oikawa loved challenges.

Iwaizumi hated the sight of Oikawa, he thought Oikawa was a narcissistic and selfish person.

Oikawa flipped his right leg over the other, eyes narrowed.

so be it, he thought stubbornly.

If Iwaizumi wants to think that then so. be. it.

It's not like he was dying for Iwaizumi's attention either, he had made Oikawa's life enough hell already.

He's tired. He's tired of always taking care of others.

He is narcissistic and he is selfish and there was no denying it.

He shook his head gently and patiently leaned back to wait for the other.

Iwaizumi came back minutes before the receptionist made the first call. They boarded the plane together, walking closely together trying to find their seats.

Oikawa glanced at him as they were looking at numbers on the chairs, "don't sit with me."

"I wouldn't torture myself like that." Iwaizumi mocked and asked a random person to switch seats with him.
