"Oikawa Tooru, my favorite boy!" A man exclaimed as soon as the they walked in, he was sitting in an antique throne like chair behind a long maghony desk. Two similar but smaller chairs sat in front of the desk.
Iwaizumi swallowed as he took in the elder's appearance. He wore a white suit. His hair was long; reaching down to his waist, it was the deepest shade of black.
He was mixed, Iwaizumi noticed. Iwaizumi had expected a greying old white man but this man didn't look entirely white, or old.He swung his left leg over the other, tossing an almost finished cigarette in an ashtray.
Oikawa smiled, "good morning, sir."
"I've told you to be frank with me a thousand times, Tooru. no need to call me sir, " his attention shifted towards iwaizumi, "and who this might be?" the man smiled, eyes glinting.
Before he could respond, Oikawa finished for him, "Iwaizumi Hajime. He's the one I've decided to grant the contract to."
Iwaizumi bowed, ". . . Good morning, sir."
When Iwaizumi stood up to his height again, the man was smirking, eyes low, "you can call me Uki, Hajime."
"He'll call you sir." Oikawa interrupted.
Uki leaned back in seat, grinning, "mhm. so he will." then, "sit down, both of you."
They did.
"You've heard of kingdoms, haven't you?" The man asked, Iwaizumi realised he was speaking to him.
He cleared his throat, unsure, "Um. Yes, sir."
Someone knocked on the door.
"God. Someone always has to interrupt," Uki rolled his eyes, "come in, Martha!" He ordered.
A maid came in, carrying some refreshments. She put them down and bowed down at Uki.
He waved her away.
Just as the door shut, he continued,
"Well, in kingdoms. There's always a king, his knights," Uki ran a hand through his hair, it fell in straight waves around his face, "his intimate partners."
Iwaizumi nodded. He didn't dare look at Oikawa beside him.
"And after that he has the money, his loyal pets, his servants, his estate; the kingdom." He took out another cigarette, twirling it in his fingers, "sure he has all that. He's rich and he's feared by those who work under him. Anyone who tries to cross him gets killed. But the thing is even if you take all these things away from him, it wouldn't matter. Do you know why?"
Iwaizumi blinked, shook his head.
"Because he would still have his most prized possession."
He could feel Oikaa's hardening gaze at him.
"His . . . His prince?" He guessed.
Uki grinned and slapped the table, "his prince!"
"You've told this story a thousand times, sir." Oikawa mumbled from besides Iwaizumi, "to a thousand different people"
"Shh," Uki hushed him, making Oikawa roll his eyes, "this is my favourite part, Tooru." He twirled the cigarette againqqq, "do you know why I'm telling you this, Hajime?"
"I'm not sure." Iwaizumi said.
"Because in this story, I'm the king of this industry. It belongs to me, not a single contract goes by without my approval. The people who work for me are the knights and the people who work under them are just loyal pets." Uki shook with laughter, it was mockery, "but can you guess who's my prince?"
