They went into the city to see the ark about to take off in ten minutes.
"That's our ride," Sylvie said then asked them, "Do we trust each other?"
"We do and you can," Loki answered.
"After what I saw, I say yes," Jamie added.
"Good. Because this is gonna suck," Sylvie told them.
Then all three ran into the city, fighting their way through if anyone got in their way. Then the announcer informed them of five minutes left.
"They're gonna let these people die," Loki realized.
"We have to get on and make sure it takes off," Sylvie said.
"How?" Jamie asked.
"We go around," Sylvie answered.
"Okay," Loki replied as Jamie nodded.
They continued running through the city, fighting their way through. Then Sylvie got into a mix that Loki got her out of.
"You okay?" Loki asked.
"Yeah," Sylvie nodded.
They kept going when some guards got to them. Sylvie and Jamie took them out with ease, partnering up against them.
"Just go," Sylvie told them.
"Over here!" Jamie yelled.
As they kept going, a building started falling toward them.
"Run! Watch out!" Jamie signaled.
"I've got it!" Loki said.
He then used his magic to stop the building from falling.
"Come on. Let's go!" Sylvie said as they continued running.
"We can still make it!" Loki told them.
More fighting went on as they got closer to the ark.
"Jamie, Sylvie, come on!" Loki remarked.
They kept going until they noticed the ark taking off. Sylvie walked off in frustration. They were too late.
Jamie let a single tear trail down her face as she bowed her head slightly with a shaky sigh. Loki took notice and put an arm around her, to which her response was to lean into his chest.
"I'm truly sorry, Jamie. I wish I hadn't dragged you into this," he told her.
"And miss out on an adventure with the God of Mischief?" she lightly joked, making him smile, then she said, "There is something I would like to tell you though."
"Alright," Loki replied.
Jamie looked up at him, took his hand, and told him, rubbing her arm shyly at the end, "Since we're stuck on a planet that's about to be destroyed, I might as well tell you that along with being a fan of yours, I...wouldn't change joining you. Would love to live, but I'd rather die being on your side than alive and never knowing you."
He smiled down at her, caressed her cheek, and responded, "Believe me, darling. Even though I've only known you for a few days, it feels like I've known you a long time. And I can say I'm glad to have met you and I can say the same thing about you."
They then hugged, believing this was their only time to be like this, before parting and going to find Sylvie.
