Chapter 35: Out of Timeout

As Loki went through that, Mobius wanted to see if he could talk with Sylvie, but Renslayer wasn't having it.

As if that wasn't enough, B-15 felt like something was off after the enchantment Sylvie put her under.

Loki struggled to get up as the time loop was about to start again.

"You. You conniving, craven..." she started.

"Sif. Sif," he pleaded.

"...pathetic worm," Sif finished.

"Please, please, no more. Please, I beg you. I'm a horrible person. I get it. I really am. I cut off your hair because I thought it'd be funny. And it's not. Uh, I crave attention because I'm...I'm a...I'm a narcissist. And I suppose it's...It's because I'm scared of being alone," he told her.

Sif looked at him questionably before holding a hand out to him and he took it. She then helped him up and he dusted himself off.

"You are alone and you always will be," she told him.

"You're wrong about that part. I might've found someone who appreciates what I do. But she also makes me feel like I'm never alone," Loki replied.

"I pity her then," Sif snapped before walking away.

He sighed as Mobius came from around the corner.

"Okay, Loki. You ready to talk?" Mobius asked.

They went back into the interrogation room.

"Sit here," Mobius told him.

Loki obeyed then the other portal opened. Jamie ran through, panting and crying. Loki, immediately worried for her, tried to get up until his device was activated to where he was back in his seat.

"I told you to stay there," Mobius remarked.

"Do you not see the state your sister is in?" Loki asked harshly.

"Yeah. I do," Mobius answered.

He then went to Jamie, who was on her knees, hugging herself. He knelt down to her level.

"You okay?" he asked.

She looked at him with a glare before punching him in the face.

"How dare you put through time loops with that man! Do you know what he's done to me?! He would beat me senselessly until I felt numb! What kind of person would wish that on anybody?!" she yelled.

Loki finally got up and went to her. When she saw him, she immediately hugged him, to which he wrapped his arms around her protectively.

"You're alright, darling. I'll see to it you never have to deal with whoever that man was again," he assured.

She still felt tears fall as she breathed shakily into his chest. She felt safe in Loki's arms and didn't want to leave them.

"Okay. For the record, I didn't pick that memory and I never sent you to him," Mobius remarked as he got up.

"I don't believe you," Jamie snapped as she and Loki parted from the hug.

"Well, I don't believe you two about the TVA lying to me, so we're even. So can we get started?" he asked.

"After doing that to her?" Loki demanded.

"She's dealt with similar things," Mobius said.

"Like that's something to brag about," Jamie replied.

Loki put an arm around her as they sat down, ready to get this over with.
