Chapter 33: THE NEXUS EVENT

The TVA were still on the lookout for Sylvie, Loki, and Jamie. But they were also told about C-20's death, which didn't make sense to Mobius.

Meanwhile back on Lamentis, Loki and Jamie found Sylvie just sitting on some rubble, so they joined her.

"I'm sorry," Loki apologized.

"We both are," Jamie did the same.

"I remember Asgard. Not much, but I remember. My home, my people, my life. The universe wants to break free, so it manifests chaos. Like me being born the Goddess of Mischief. And as soon as that created a big enough detour from the Sacred Timeline, the TVA showed up, erased my reality, and took me prisoner. I was just a child. I escaped. Stole a TemPad and I ran for a long, long time, which really sucked. Everywhere and every-when I went, it caused a nexus event. Sent up a smoke flare. Because I'm not supposed to exist. Until, eventually, I figured out where to hide. And so that's where I grew up, the ends of a thousand worlds," Sylvie explained, scoffed, then said, "Now...that's where I'll die."

Mobius and the TVA continued on their search for the two Variants and Time Jumper.

Sylvie, Jamie, and Loki then noticed bigger chunks of the planet breaking through the atmosphere.

"Not long now," Sylvie said then asked, "Do you think that what makes a Loki is the fact that we're destined to lose?"

"No. We may lose. Sometimes painfully. But we don't die. We survive. I mean, you did," Loki answered.

"Yeah. You were just a child when the TVA took you, but you nearly took down the organization that claims to govern the order of time. You did it on your own. You ran rings around them," Jamie added.

"You're amazing!" Loki and Jamie said, earning a smile from Sylvie.

Then the TVA noticed a huge branch forming, so they knew where to find them.

The worst of Lamentis was about to come. Loki and Jamie held hands as she and Sylvie interlocked arms. They thought it was the end until two portals opened, making them stand.

The TVA then escorted Sylvie into a room while Mobius lead Loki and Jamie in a different direction.
