Chapter 34: Time Loops

Mobius led Loki, Jamie, and the Minutemen who held them down the hall.

"Well?" Mobius asked.

"Well, what?" Loki and Jamie remarked.

"I know one of you got some quip you're dyin' to say," Mobius said.

"I don't have a quip and she doesn't either. We've got nothing to say," Loki remarked.

"Come on," Mobius taunted.

"By the way, I should have an equal amount of security. This is insulting!" Loki said.

"I think for me too, but I honestly don't care. Security is security, no matter how annoying," Jamie commented, earning a shove from one of the Minutemen.

"You just can't help yourself," Mobius said.

"You betrayed us!" Loki exclaimed.

"You two betrayed me!" Mobius remarked.

"Grow up!" Jamie snapped.

"You two grow up," Mobius retorted, they went into the old room Loki and Jamie looked at his file, then Mobius continued, "You know, it occurred to me that you're not really the God of Mischief."

"Oh, here it comes. The folksy, dopey insult from the folksy dope. What am I? The God of Self-Sabotage, yeah? The God of Back-Stabbing?" Loki asked.

"Just kind of an asshole and a bad friend. Yeah, chew on that for a little bit," Mobius said.

"All right. They're ready," one Minuteman informed.

"What is this?" Loki asked.

"Oh no," Jamie shuddered.

"You'll see," Mobius told him then ordered her, "And don't tell him."

"Mobius!" they yelled, him out of frustration and her out of fear.

"Okay. No, no, no, let them, one last desperate trick from the desperate trickster and the time-jumper who loves to get out of anything. Go ahead," Mobius said.

"The TVA is lying to you," Loki informed.

"It's true," Jamie added.

Mobius just chuckled and instructed, "Put them in."

"No!" the two shouted before they were shoved into the portals.

He looked to see he was back on Asgard.

"What?" Loki asked, chuckled, then added, "Seriously?"

"You," a female voice growled.

He turned to see a very familiar Asgardian woman with some of her hair in her hand and the left side of her head looked like hair was chopped off.

"Sif," Loki said in surprise.

"You conniving, craven, pathetic worm. You did this," she stated in anger while approaching him.

"What?" Loki wondered, she punched, kneed, then dropped him, then he commented, "Ow."

"I hope you know you deserve to be alone and you always will be," Sif told him before leaving.

"All right. A bad memory prison? How quaint," he said then remarked, "Ow! Some punishment."

He struggled to get up.

"I remember exactly what I did after that. I went and had a nice, hot bath and a glass of wine, and I never thought about it again, because it was just a bit of fun," Loki remarked.

"You," she said again.

"Huh?" he asked as he turned to see Sif again.

"You conniving, craven, pathetic worm. You did this," Sif stated angrily, approaching him again.

"Hang on," he said, she did the same things to him, then he added again, "Ow."

"I hope you know you deserve to be alone and you always will be," Sif told him before leaving again.

"Just..." Loki started, got up, then commented,  "Time loops. How lovely."

"You. You conniving, craven, pathetic worm," Sif said again.

"Okay. Okay, Sif. Hang on," Loki tried to reason.

"No, you hear this. You deserve to be alone..." Sif started.

"And I always will be. All right, I get it. Listen. You are a reconstruction of a past event created by the organization that controls all of time. So you need to trust me and you need to help me escape. Yeah?" Loki explained with a hand out at the end.

She looked down at his hand before eventually taking it.

"Okay, good," Loki nodded.

She then punched, kneed, and dropped him.

"Pathetic," Sif remarked before she walked off.

Meanwhile, when Jamie was thrown in, she looked around for any sign if she had been through this time loop before.

She was put in there whenever Mobius felt she needed to be taught a lesson if resetting didn't work. Each memory was different and they were only what happened after the TVA.

"Now what?" Jamie wondered.

"Well, hello again," a voice said.

Her blood ran cold at the sound of that voice. She turned to be greeted by the man who was brought in from another timeline just for her shenanigans.

"No," Jamie said.

"That's not gonna save you from me and you know it," the man smirked as he approached her with a whip.

She backed away from him until her back hit a wall. He smacked his hands on either side of her head, making her cower and him chuckle.

"This is gonna be fun," he said.
