So here goes!)
Loki was just defeated in the battle for New York and about to be taken into custody. He even had a strange encounter with a Midgardian that felt right. But it didn't stop him from making his escape with the Tesseract.
He ended up in Mongolia where he tried to communicate with the locals until people in armor and melt sticks came and arrested him, even though he wasn't willing, before resetting a timeline.
The Tesseract was put away while Loki was dressed in TVA jail clothes, signed some forms, was checked to see if he was a robot, then told to take a ticket for entry to the sentencing.
Meanwhile, Agent Mobius was on a case in the 1500's when one of the TVA members came to him through a portal.
"Sir, there's something you'll wanna see," he told him.
He showed him Loki's file that was marked "Apprehended".
"And there's something else; the time jumper," the man started as he handed another file to him, then added, "We found her."
Mobius smiled at that.
