Chapter Fifty Five
One Embrace
Today was the day.
I don't even know why I kept on delaying it. It was an inevitable thing. I know that when the whole world finally sees him, it would be so obvious who his father is.
He's literally his copy paste.
The eyes.
The nose.
The lips.
Everything. And I hate that I can't hate him for looking so much like his father, kasi malamang wala naman siyang kasalanan.
I spoke to Adami yesterday, told him he should convince his brother to visit the site. It's been weeks since the last time I saw him. I don't know, maybe he visits the site when I'm not around since hindi na nagco-complain sina Jun na hindi nabisita si 'Sir Achaia.'
After years, I finally have the courage to tell him everything. I just hope it would work out well, but I've already prepared myself for the worst case scenarios.
If he gets mad at me, it's fine. I would accept it. It's his right. I kept his son from him, normal lang naman kung magalit siya sa akin.
If he's not, then okay... pag-usapan na lang namin kung ano ang mangyayari sa amin at kung paano ang magiging set up nila ng anak naming dalawa.
Anak namin.
It still feels weird thinking about it. Thinking about how far we've come. From enemies to lovers to strangers, and I hope that the end of the cycle is just civil.
It was around noon when he finally came.
He just smiled at each of them and responded, "Busy lang sa work."
He looked good today, the opposite of me na stressed and nervous na kung paano sisimulan i-open up 'yung topic sa kanya.
"Ms. Dela Cuesta," he said, nodding at me.
"Achaia," I said instead of Mr. Tiu or Vice Chairman Tiu.
He seemed taken aback by that.
I smiled to ease the nervousness I was feeling. "You haven't visited the site for weeks, I wanted to show you around."
Hindi agad siya sumagot.
"Only if you're not so busy and you have the time," I added.
After a few seconds, he nodded. We both started walking towards the building. I understand why he was giving me the silent treatment, maybe he thinks I never wanted to see him again and that I still hate him for everything that he's done to me. He's just respecting what he thoughts I want.
What do I really want?
"I don't hate you," I said. "Anymore."
"But your face says otherwise," he finally spoke.
